Foreign tourists are fascinated by the "train street" in Hanoi

02/04/2018

On average, 50 tourists come to the train street every day to take photos. Anyone in Hanoi who has not come here to “look around” and take photos is truly missing out.

The railway alley is located in the small streets of Hanoi.

Located in the heart of Hanoi, the image of trains and railways running through the city, between Kham Thien, Le Duan, and Phung Hung neighborhoods has always been familiar to Hanoians, as evidence of a period of development in Vietnam.

Guests love this place to enjoy the feeling.

Everything is strange

Residents living near the railway tracks are called railway hamlets or railway streets, and they are used to the bustling rhythm every time the train passes by. They know the rules and running times of the trains, so for them, the train passing by is very normal, but for tourists or young people, this is an interesting thing.

Inspiration for visitors to come here

On average, there are up to 50 tourists coming to the train street to take photos every day. Anyone in Hanoi who has never come here to “look around” and take photos is truly missing out, because the image of the train tracks winding between rows of old houses on both sides makes the photo suddenly have a unique background like in a movie of the subsidy period.

Young people like to come here to check in

For a while, a cafe opened right next to the train tracks. Before the train arrived, customers could experience the feeling of having a coffee shop in the middle of the tracks… A rather unsettling feeling, but a strange and fun one indeed. All we know is that foreign visitors were “fascinated” to come here, taking pictures of every single thing, especially the oldest things, which attracted them.

This photo will surely get... thousands of likes.
