Viet Phu Thanh Chuong - a top choice for a weekend getaway and one of the must-visit cultural destinations for tourists in Hanoi, is located in Hien Linh commune, Soc Son district, about 40 km from Hanoi.
The wooden gate has three doors, one main and two side doors, with a small tiled roof above, surrounded by many stone statues and exquisitely carved patterns.
This architectural complex, preserving many historical values, has been featured in numerous international publications such as The New York Times and Herald Tribune.
Previously, this building was created by artist Thanh Chuong as a private retreat for himself. After 15 years, he decided to open it to visitors.
Viet Phu Thanh Chuong is located at Keo Ca Lake, Hien Ninh commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi, about 35 minutes' drive from the city center and 15 minutes from Noi Bai airport.
Viet Phu Thanh Chuong is a collection of ancient, small architectural structures such as towers, lotus ponds, thatched houses, theaters, water puppet theaters, houses roofed with reeds typical of the Muong ethnic group, Hue imperial houses, and wooden houses made of Lim wood, reflecting the distinctive style of the Northern Delta region.
In addition, Viet Phu also has many other architectural structures such as an outdoor Buddhist shrine, stone incense burners, surrounded by large and small green trees creating a cool, airy, and peaceful atmosphere.
This is the perfect place for contemplation, a place to escape the hustle and bustle, a space steeped in national character and history.
To get here, you can easily travel by bus: Take bus 07 from Cau Giay to Bac Thang Long Industrial Zone. Then transfer to bus 64, get off at Xom Nui 1 bus stop and walk about 500m to Viet Phu Thanh Chuong.
If traveling by motorbike or private car: Take the Thang Long – Noi Bai Expressway. Upon reaching Noi Bai Airport, turn off at the intersection of the Thang Long – Noi Bai Expressway and National Highway 2. Turn onto National Highway 2 towards Vinh Yen, go straight for about 2km to the intersection with a sign for Viet Phu Thanh Chuong, continue for about 7km and you will arrive at your destination.
Within the Viet Phu complex, there is a 2-star restaurant system offering authentic Vietnamese dishes such as spring rolls, vermicelli soup with crab, rice crackers, steamed rice cakes, braised fish with ginger and turmeric, etc. The price for a meal for 4 people ranges from approximately 230,000 VND to 400,000 VND.
Note:Viet Phu Thanh Chuong is open from 9 AM to 5 PM every day except Monday.
Ticket price:Entrance fee for adults is 150,000 VND. Children under 110cm tall are free. If you are a student, remember to bring your student ID card; the ticket price will be only 120,000 VND.
