A BRIDGE CONNECTING STUDENTS TO PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES AROUND THE WORLD
APU International School was the first international school established in Ho Chi Minh City in 2004. In 2015, APU expanded its curriculum to include the APU American International School in Da Nang. At APU, the curriculum is taught entirely in English using standard textbooks approved by the US Department of Education and following the Common Core standards – a framework for education applied in most states across the United States.
The program at APU is a unique system that provides pathways to prestigious universities worldwide. Here, students develop the necessary knowledge and skills from kindergarten to grade 12 so that after graduating from high school, they can succeed in a high-level university environment and have a favorable career path in the future.

High school students at APU are encouraged to participate in special programs unique to APU, such as the College Bridge Program (APU partners with prestigious universities in the US), which includes the Global Freshman Academy and the Dual Enrollment Program. This College Bridge Program offers maximum benefits to APU students, allowing them to earn college credits from prestigious US universities while still completing their high school education at APU. This shortens their university study time in the US by up to two years and makes it easier to obtain scholarships from top universities in the US and around the world. This is a unique advantage exclusive to APU students.
Each year, over 90% of APU graduates receive scholarships to prestigious US universities, with total scholarship value exceeding $4 million annually, without requiring proof of TOEFL, IELTS, or SAT scores. Currently, numerous top universities in the US, Australia, Canada, and other countries have APU graduates enrolled. Specifically, over 3,000 students have transferred to prestigious universities through APU's partnerships and support since 2004.

A CREATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES A SOLID STEM FOUNDATION FOR STUDENTS
Along with a curriculum based on American standards, APU teachers are always up-to-date with the most advanced and optimal teaching methods for students. Project-based learning and interdisciplinary teaching are the main methods used in all classes to ensure that all students understand and master all knowledge. APU's teaching methods are closely aligned with educational goals, perfectly equipping APU students for future success. The school's goal is to help students (1) unleash the full power of their minds, (2) solve problems independently, (3) develop sound decision-making skills, and (4) especially develop critical thinking skills.
In addition to the academic program, the school always places great emphasis on sports and extracurricular activities.
With those goals in mind, APU emphasizes the importance of STEM education from elementary to high school. This educational trend, which combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, is very popular in many developed countries, especially in the United States.
With STEM, teachers often proactively assign students practical projects stemming from real-world problems, rather than simply dry theoretical exercises. In other words, this innovative learning method places students in the role of inventors conducting scientific research projects. Students choose their own projects, with guidance from teachers, and then continuously work on them until their research is completed within 2 to 3 months. Some of APU students' innovative projects even participated in STEMCON 2019, a series of STEM conferences and exhibitions attracting representatives from over 37 universities, colleges, and scientific and educational organizations from 6 countries around the world.
Unique projects by students at APU International School include research on the impact of LED lighting on plant growth compared to natural light; the creation of pesticides from environmentally friendly products; and a project comparing the effectiveness of antibiotics extracted from medicinal plant leaves. In addition, modern facilities such as laboratories, music rooms, art rooms, libraries, computer rooms, and meeting rooms are fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, enabling students to easily carry out STEM projects and implement other ideas throughout their studies.
