BRIDGE BRINGING STUDENTS TO WORLD'S PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES
APU International School was the first international school established in Ho Chi Minh City in 2004. By 2015, APU had an additional campus, APU American International School, in Da Nang City. At APU, the curriculum is taught entirely in English according to the standard curriculum licensed by the US Department of Education and according to the Common Core standard - a framework of educational standards applied in most states across the United States.

High school students at APU are encouraged to study special programs only available at APU such as the College Bridge Program (APU is associated with prestigious universities in the US), including the Global Freshman Academy program and the Dual Enrollment Program. This College Bridge program brings maximum benefits to APU students, helping them receive transcripts including university credits from prestigious universities in the US while still studying to complete high school at APU, thereby shortening the time to study at university in the US by up to 2 years and easily receiving scholarships from top prestigious universities in the US as well as around the world. This is a special advantage only for APU students.
Every year, more than 90% of APU graduates receive scholarships to prestigious US universities with a total annual scholarship value of more than 4 million USD without having to prove TOEFL, IELTS or SAT scores. Currently, a series of leading universities in the US, Australia, Canada... have APU students studying. Specifically, more than 3,000 students have been transferred to prestigious universities through the association and support of APU since 2004.
CREATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM, PROVIDING A SOLID STEM FOUNDATION FOR STUDENTS
Along with the American standard curriculum, APU teachers are always updated with the most advanced and optimal teaching methods for students. Project-based learning and interdisciplinary teaching are the main methods used in every class, to ensure that all students understand and master all knowledge. APU's teaching methods are closely aligned with educational goals, perfectly equipping APU students for future success. The school's goal is to help students (1) develop their full mental power, (2) solve problems independently, (3) make sound decisions, (4) and especially develop critical thinking skills.

With these goals, APU emphasizes the importance of STEM education from elementary to high school. This educational trend combining science, technology, engineering and mathematics is very popular in many developed countries, especially in the United States.
With STEM, teachers often proactively assign students practical projects that originate from practical problems, not just dry theoretical exercises. In other words, this creative learning method puts students in the role of inventors who are carrying out scientific research projects. Students will choose their own projects, through the advice of teachers, and then continuously work on them until they complete their research within 2 to 3 months. Some creative projects of APU students have even participated in STEMCON 2019. This is a series of STEM conferences and exhibitions that attract representatives from more than 37 universities, colleges and scientific and educational organizations from 6 countries around the world.
Unique projects of APU International School students include studying the impact of LED light on plant growth compared to natural light; making pesticides from environmentally friendly products; or comparing the effectiveness of antibiotics extracted from medicinal plant leaves... In addition, modern functional rooms such as laboratories, music rooms, art rooms, libraries, computer rooms, meeting rooms, etc. are all fully equipped with modern equipment... helping students to easily carry out STEM projects in particular and implement all other ideas in the learning process in general.
