Ford Vietnam increased sales by 52% in the first 6 months of the year

Ford also delivered record June retail sales, up 47 percent to 2,369 vehicles, driven by all-time monthly sales of Ranger and strong demand across Ford’s global vehicle lineup.

The segment-leading Ranger pickup truck contributed to Ford’s first-half performance with sales increasing 102% to 6,868 vehicles, continuing to be the best-selling pickup truck in Vietnam for the second consecutive year. June was also the Ranger’s record-breaking month with 1,429 vehicles sold, a spectacular increase of 128% compared to the same period last year.

The EcoSport compact urban SUV line continued to maintain its performance in June with sales increasing by 18%, reaching 308 vehicles. This positive result contributed to a total sales increase of 30% in the first half of the year, equivalent to 2,220 vehicles, EcoSport continued to shape a completely new segment in the Vietnamese market.

The Transit commercial vehicle continued to lead its segment in June with retail sales of 371 vehicles. Sales of this vehicle line increased by 40% to 3,399 vehicles in the first 6 months of the year. Transit continues to be the top choice of many business owners in all business sectors because of the durability, versatility and efficiency that this high-quality commercial vehicle line brings. Transit has become the commercial vehicle line with the highest sales in more than 2 years.

June sales of the Fiesta compact sports car increased by 43% or 103 units, contributing to a 12% increase in first-half sales or 399 units. The Fiesta is also equipped with the 1.0L EcoBoost engine – Ford’s international award-winning engine for many years in a row.

The Focus, with the 1.5L EcoBoost engine, sold 100 cars in June, bringing first-half sales up 66% to 459 cars.

Ford also expanded its authorized dealer network in the first 6 months of the year, opening Ford dealerships in Thanh Hoa and Nha Trang. The number of authorized dealers and branches of Ford has reached 31 dealers in major cities and provinces across the country.

“We plan to continue to expand the car ownership experience for customers by continuing to expand our dealer network in the second half of this year,” Mr. Dung added.
