Mui Ne to be among the top trending global destinations in 2026
According to Booking.com's Travel Predictions 2026 report, Mui Ne is among the Top 10 trending global destinations in 2026, alongside Bilbao (Spain), Barranquilla (Colombia), Philadelphia (USA), Guangzhou (China), Sal (Cape Verde), Manaus (Brazil), Münster (Germany), Kochi (India), and Port Douglas (Australia).
Mui Ne has been ranked among Booking.com's Top 10 trending global destinations for 2026, alongside many other international cities and tourist spots.
The list was compiled from search data, bookings, and surveys of tens of thousands of travelers in 33 countries, selecting from the 1,000 destinations with the highest bookings, then sorting by growth rate and geographical balance. The data reveals a clear trend: travel is shifting from "traveling to check-in" to "traveling to experience." Travelers no longer prioritize visiting every destination but seek experiences that align with their personal interests, emotions, and lifestyles.
This coastal destination is among the most sought-after destinations in Vietnam by international tourists in the first half of 2026.
In the first six months of 2026, Mui Ne ranked 8th among the most searched destinations in Vietnam by international tourists, an increase of approximately 20% compared to the same period. In the domestic market, it ranked 9th. The list of most searched destinations includes familiar cities such as Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, Sa Pa, Vung Tau, Ninh Binh, along with Mui Ne, indicating a trend of expanding choices beyond traditional destinations.
According to National Geographic magazine, Mui Ne has transformed from a fishing village into a prominent marine sports center in Southeast Asia thanks to its stable wind conditions and unique topography. Currently, the Mui Ne National Tourist Area has more than 600 accommodation establishments with nearly 18,000 rooms, concentrated along the coastal line. Vietnamese tourists tend to choose flexible accommodation options such as apartments, guesthouses, and homestays in addition to traditional hotels.

According to him, as the trend of moving away from traditional tourist centers becomes increasingly evident, destinations with coastal landscapes and diverse tourism ecosystems like Mui Ne are strongly attracting both domestic and international tourists.
