As a Vietnam - Singapore joint venture, Fortuna Hotel Hanoi initiated the Green Missions program from October 1, 2019. The goal of Green Missions is to minimize harmful factors to the environment and build a green community.
The Green Missions program was officially launched on October 1st at Fortuna Hanoi.
The difference of Green Missions is the close connection between the three factors of Environment, Society and Governance. This program not only focuses on individual activities on environmental protection, but also goes deeper to consider the impacts of these activities on human resources and corporate governance.
The event gathered many guests working in the fields of media, services, and environment.
Mr. Roger Chng - General Director of Fortuna Hotel Hanoi shared: "For example, Fortuna Hotel has replaced all single-use plastic bottles at conferences and seminars held here with glass cups with lids. Although the cost of glass cups will be higher, require more human resources to manage assets and somewhat affect the hotel's revenue and profit, this is a sustainable and reasonable direction, in line with the hotel's long-term development orientation."
Glass cups with lids and pencils have been used in meetings and conferences.
Along with these commitments are practical actions of Fortuna Hotel Hanoi, specifically:
- Stop using disposable mineral water bottles in living rooms and conference rooms.
- Switch from plastic ballpoint pen to pencil
- Convert your bathroom amenities from disposable plastic bottles to large-capacity resin bottles
- Switch all plastic straws to stainless steel straws
- Stop using plastic stirrers
- Stop using plastic bags to store and prepare cakes.
- Minimize the use of disposable gloves
In addition, during more than 20 years of operation, Fortuna Hotel Hanoi has also actively participated in charity activities, building schools, bridges and charity houses in remote communes and districts to improve the quality of life for people.
