On March 3, 2018, the Earth Hour 2018 campaign in Vietnam was launched with the slogan “Go More Green – Today I live greener.” Continuing its sustainable development efforts over the years, Fortuna Hotel Hanoi has taken “green actions” with the desire to combat climate change, demonstrating the spirit of each individual in the effort to change the current state of global warming, joining millions of individuals, organizations, and governments worldwide.

On Saturday, March 24th, 2018, we will be turning off all lights in the hotel for one hour, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Guests are also encouraged to turn off unnecessary appliances or dim their lights throughout the entire duration of Earth Hour, not just for the one hour. In the main lobby, alongside the lights-off ceremony, there will be musical performances and fun photo contests for our guests.
On the morning of the same day, an environmental protection cycling program will be held at West Lake with the participation of more than 50 hotel staff. Not only does it have a positive meaning, raising awareness about using personal vehicles in a way that doesn't harm the environment, but it is also an opportunity to strengthen bonds and increase solidarity among staff from different departments.
“At Fortuna Hanoi, we are committed to a more sustainable future by conserving natural resources and minimizing negative environmental impacts,” said Albert Leong, General Manager of the hotel. “Through initiatives like Earth Hour, we realize that many small individual actions can be powerful catalysts for big change.”
