Asking for calligraphy from the Scholar – Sending wishes for spring
Every year, asking for calligraphy from Ong Do has become an indispensable part of Vietnamese Tet. This year, Ong Do Street gathered more than 50 young calligraphers with their flowing strokes, expressing meaningful Han - Nom characters. In addition, visitors can also participate in calligraphy workshops, directly experiencing the beauty of traditional art.
The words “An”, “Loc”, “Tai” … are written on red paper, conveying the hopes and good wishes of the person asking for the words for the new year. This is not only a unique experience but also a ritual full of spiritual meaning.

Mr. Do enthusiastically performed each calligraphy stroke, sending good wishes for the new year.
Many souvenirs are also displayed here.

Not only flowers and calligraphy, Ong Do Street in 2025 also recreates the images of famous traditional craft villages such as Dinh Yen mat village (Dong Thap), Lai Thieu pottery village (Binh Duong), My An weaving village (An Giang). Here, visitors can not only admire the exquisite handicraft products but also observe with their own eyes the diligent artisans creating, authentically recreating the breath of memories and long-standing cultural values.
