However, Dan Koday said the service here is a bit slow, the cost, dish size and overall taste are not different from the high-end restaurants. Next time, if the author comes back here, he will skip the tasting menu and have an à la carte lunch, with a smaller group to enjoy the space here.

The restaurant serves modern Italian cuisine made with local California ingredients. Several delicious dishes have caught the eye of the Michelin Guide. From the starter, a salad with sweet sea scallops, calamari, and lobster, all dressed in olive oil, fresh bok choy, and radishes arranged like flower petals. Then there is the “Risotto Disguised as Pizza,” which is adorned with flavorful tomato puree, stracciatella cream, and a dusting of charred capers that give the dish a burnt crust. The surface of the risotto is arranged like an abstract painting, the flavors are interesting, and the appearance is completely creative.
The menu combines signature elements of Bottura cuisine, with fresh California farm produce.
To earn his coveted Michelin star, Chef Agazzi has created an Italian menu, but with a focus on local ingredients and some specific Italian products. Uni Carbonara features fresh oysters from Santa Barbara, and the SoCal Spaghetto features local crab and is topped with the exquisite Imperial Ossetra Caviar. There are plenty of creative pizzas and pastas, as well as fresh salads and burgers made with ribeye beef and topped with salsa verde and balsamic mayonnaise.
