The ITE HCMC 2022 trade fair is expected to be a breakthrough opportunity, creating momentum for the development of Vietnamese tourism businesses, acting as a bridge between domestic businesses and international buyers as well as international tourists. The ITE HCMC 2022 trade fair will bring together more than 1,500 delegates including management agencies, travel companies, airlines, hotels and resorts, as well as domestic and international tourism, entertainment, and leisure brands/destinations.
The ITE trade fair attracts international attention.
To date, the Fair has recorded a total of 260 registered booths, including 210 from domestic units and 50 from international units. Notably, it features the participation of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Tourism Departments and Tourism Promotion Centers of 41 provinces and cities (An Giang, Bac Kan, Bac Lieu, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ben Tre, Binh Dinh, Binh Duong, Ca Mau, Can Tho City, Da Nang City, Dak Nong, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hanoi City, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong City, Ho Chi Minh City, Thua Thien - Hue, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Kontum, Lai Chau, Lam Dong, Lao Cai, Long An, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, Soc Trang, Thanh Hoa, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Vinh Phuc).

The ITE HCMC trade fair is the only international tourism event in Vietnam with an International Buyers Program. This program provides an opportunity for international tourism businesses wishing to expand their markets, bring tourists to Vietnam, and seek tourism partners in Vietnam and the Mekong River basin in the future.
The ITE HCMC 2022 trade fair attracted registrations from over 500 international tourism businesses, after a screening and selection process with advice from airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietjet Air, international airlines, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), and leading tourism businesses.

The Organizing Committee has selected and invited over 150 international buyers from 18 countries and territories, specifically the USA, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Romania, Poland, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Kuwait – key and potential inbound tourism markets for Vietnam. Through this, the 16th ITE HCMC Fair promises to open up more than 6,000 B2B business meetings between buyers and exhibitors.
The fair also received attention and support from more than 50 domestic media partners and 20 international press agencies from 10 countries: the UK, India, Brazil, Canada, Germany, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Türkiye.
“The international tourist market to Vietnam is receiving very positive signals of growth during the peak season at the end of the year. With its role as a leading international tourism event in Vietnam and the region, especially with the World Travel Award selecting Ho Chi Minh City as the venue for the 2022 Asia and Oceania regional awards ceremony," shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.
ITE side activities
This year's fair will include a High-Level Conference on Tourism Development Policy – attended by leaders from the tourism ministries of the Lower Mekong countries, India, and Cuba; the Vietnam MICE Tourism Forum – attended by leaders from the Universal Exhibition Federation (UFI), the Asian Exhibition and Convention Association (AFECA), and leading experts in MICE tourism; a dialogue program with editors-in-chief; a Vietnam Night – Gala Dinner “The Quintessence of Vietnamese Rice”; a Cambodia Night hosted by the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia; a Korea Night hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization Representative Office in Vietnam; and a series of seminars on key and potential tourist markets, and a seminar on digital transformation in tourism.

The event series focuses on promoting tourism destinations – with the participation of domestic and regional tourism experts, the ITE HCMC Tourism Awards, etc. In addition, during the 3 days of the Fair, visitors and participating units can enjoy many exciting activities such as: Regional cultural experience zones, a consumer festival for the public… The Fair is expected to attract more than 22,000 visitors, including 10,000 trade visitors and 12,000 public visitors.
Following the fair, international guests participated in survey programs to experience new tourism products of Ho Chi Minh City and regional linkage products between Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities, aiming to promote experiential tourism programs "One journey - many destinations".
The event attracted considerable media attention in Ho Chi Minh City.
This year's fair will also introduce the official website of ITE HCMC 2022. With a user-friendly interface, visitors can quickly and easily access the latest information about the fair, such as conferences, seminars, side events, overall floor plans, and lists of exhibitors, as well as promotional programs from exhibitors…
The event was implemented under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, and jointly carried out by the City Tourism Promotion Center, CIS Vietnam Company and Le Bros Company.
