Miss Thuy Tien is the media ambassador at the ITE 2022 trade fair.

On the morning of August 16th, a press conference was held in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce the 16th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2022. At the event, Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien officially became the media ambassador for this year's fair.

Accompanying this year's ITE HCMC Fair as a media ambassador, Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien shared: “The Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2022 is the beginning of a stronger and more spectacular return for tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam after the pandemic. Furthermore, ITE HCMC 2022 is an opportunity to promote Vietnamese tourism, culture, cuisine, and people, as well as Ho Chi Minh City, so that we can show international friends the incredibly lovely image of Vietnam.”

In addition, Miss Thuy Tien also expressed her pride and honor in becoming the Media Ambassador of ITE HCMC 2022, "I hope that in my role as a media ambassador, I will be able to contribute a small part to help Ho Chi Minh City tourism return stronger and more spectacular, as well as welcome more international friends."

The beauty queen also said that this is the first time she has had the opportunity to promote tourism in Ho Chi Minh City – her birthplace – and she is extremely moved and proud. "Therefore, I will try my best and I am confident that the fair will be a great success."

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 16th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC 2022) will officially return with the theme: “Growing Forward Together” from September 8th to 10th, 2022 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The ITE HCMC 2022 trade fair is expected to be a breakthrough opportunity, creating momentum for the development of Vietnamese tourism businesses, acting as a bridge between domestic businesses and international buyers as well as international tourists. The ITE HCMC 2022 trade fair will bring together more than 1,500 delegates including management agencies, travel companies, airlines, hotels and resorts, as well as domestic and international tourism, entertainment, and leisure brands/destinations.

To date, the Fair has recorded a total of 260 registered booths, including 210 from domestic organizations and 50 from international organizations. Notably, it features the participation of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Tourism Departments and Tourism Promotion Centers of 41 provinces and cities nationwide.

The ITE HCMC trade fair is the only international tourism event in Vietnam with an International Buyers Program. This program provides an opportunity for international tourism businesses wishing to expand their markets, bring tourists to Vietnam, and seek tourism partners in Vietnam and the Mekong River basin in the future.

The ITE HCMC 2022 trade fair attracted registrations from over 500 international tourism businesses. After screening and selection, with advice from airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietjet Air, international airlines, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), and leading tourism businesses, the Organizing Committee selected and invited over 150 international buyers from 18 countries and territories, specifically the USA, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Romania, Poland, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Kuwait – key and potential inbound tourism markets for Vietnam. Through this, the 16th ITE HCMC trade fair promises to open up more than 6,000 B2B business meetings between buyers and exhibitors.

The fair also received attention and support from more than 50 domestic media partners and 20 international press agencies from 10 countries: the UK, India, Brazil, Canada, Germany, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Türkiye.
