1. Bronte Baths


Located at the southern end of Bronter Beach, Bronte Baths is Sydney's oldest saltwater swimming pool. Bronte Baths attracts everyone from young children to seasoned swimmers and ladies in floral bath caps. You can lounge lazily on the rocks, warming yourself like a lizard before diving into the pool, or gaze upon one of Sydney's most photographed beaches. Unlike other saltwater pools in Sydney, this one is free to enter for visitors.
2. Mewether Ocean Baths

The history of the Merewether Ocean Baths is quite interesting. It was built by unemployed workers who showed signs of mild depression. It is believed to be the largest saltwater swimming pool in the Southern Hemisphere.
3. Mcivers Baths

Located between Coogee Beach and Wylie's Baths is the stunning Mcivers Baths. Established in 1922, it became the only swimming pool in Australia exclusively for women.
4. Blue Pool Bermagui


On the beautiful South Coast, also known as the Sapphire Coast, you'll find the famous Blue Pool with its stunning scenery. Situated at the bottom of an impressive rocky surface, this natural tidal pool is a beautiful spot for swimming, snorkeling, and canoeing. During the 1940s, it was improved and expanded by local residents, and its current size has doubled.
5. Ross Jones Memorial Pool


The Ross Jones Memorial Pool, built in 1947, is located at the southern end of Coogee Beach. Two adjacent rectangular pools boast a unique design jutting out from a curved rock face. Untouched by time, it is one of Australia's most beautiful saltwater pools.
6. Bogey Hole


Bogey Hole, located in Newcastle, is also known as the officer's pool. It is the oldest surviving European structure in the area. In 1819, an officer directed prisoners to build this pool for personal use. It was constructed on a sandstone base with a fence made of posts and chains.
7. Bondi Icebergs


The 50-meter-long Bondi Icebergs saltwater pool, divided into several lanes, is located south of Bondi Beach in Sydney. The pool uses water directly from the sea. Occasionally, large waves can crash against the sides and flood the pool. The pool includes a small beach, a bar, and a children's pool. Visitors can enjoy swimming while admiring the stunning ocean skyline.The water in this swimming pool is always colder than seawater, usually ranging from 15-21 degrees Celsius.
8. Mahon Pool

Mahon Pool is surrounded by beautiful, rugged natural rocks and has very little human intervention. It is located north of Maroubra Beach. The most enjoyable experience is submerging yourself in the water when it's high and the wind is strong.
9. Wylies Baths

Located just south of Mcivers Baths, Wylies Baths was built in 1907 by Harry Alexander Wylie. Like Bondi Icebergs, Wylies offers all the amenities, from yoga classes to massage services. It's a great stop on the walking trail along Bondi Beach.
10. Bilgola Rockpool

The Bilgola Beach pool is formed from the bottom of a steep coastal valley. It's one of the most secluded spots on the beach in the North. To get there, you can hike from Newport Beach, winding through tea, casuarina, and palm groves. From the spectacular 60-meter-high Bilgola North Headland, you'll see a rocky outcrop as wide as an eight-lane highway, 50 meters long, at the southern end of the beach.
