1. Sweet Tooth
Adapted from the DC comics, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world where human civilization is on the brink of destruction, and somehow children are born with an external appearance that is a hybrid of animals.
The film follows Gus (Christan Convery) and the wandering man Jepperd (Nonso Anozie) on a journey to explore what remains of the world after the apocalypse, to find answers about Gus's origins and other special things.
2. Awake
Continuing with another film with the theme of global disaster, however, this is a standalone film, only lasting 1 hour and 37 minutes so it won't take much time to "plow through". The film tells the story of a mysterious event that causes electronic devices to stop working, and people can't sleep and gradually become mentally disturbed.
