Quân Đoàn and Đức Trần are two members ofWanderful Dreamers, a travel blog popular among young people on Facebook. Recently, a photo series titled "Lost at Home," shared by the two creators on the page, quickly attracted the attention and interest of many travel enthusiasts. Specifically, in this album, Quân Đoàn and Đức Trần provide very detailed and vivid instructions on how to have a "staycation" (traveling... at home).
"Taking advantage of this extended quarantine period, we've spent time traveling to many places," the two brothers shared. "A little time to revisit old places and reminisce about the past. The rest of the time we've been to new places like India, South Korea, or Egypt..."
Are you ready to embark on a unique round-the-world tour with the two guys from Wanderful Dreamers?
Two guys "in the waiting area of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, preparing for a long trip as per Prime Minister's Directive No. 16".
First destination: Hong Kong.
"I went to the Eastern Bus Station at 1 PM to catch a bus to Hong Kong before dark, posing as a customer at a brothel. During this pandemic, the girls have all switched to selling steamed buns to stay in line with the times."
Next destination: Tibet.
"Rescuing a 4-kilogram watermelon from Vietnam to Hong Kong, then climbing all the way to Tibet to offer it to the Triple Gem. The temple is small but very peaceful."
Then, suddenly, they turned towards... the Amazon rainforest.
"Stepping into the forest at twilight / Some search for directions, others catch birds."
After exploring the mountains, it's time to head to the beach! Head straight to Phuket (Thailand)!
"During the pandemic, the beaches of Phi Phi were full of ducks, with hardly any fish to be seen. The good thing is the seawater is cool and smooth like silk; you don't feel any sand when you swim."
...And then suddenly we turned towards Bali (Indonesia) and heard "birds chirping and monkeys howling".
"I didn't expect to be back in Bali so quickly. This time, I've decided to stay at a resort deep in the forest and relax in a hammock reading a book."
Don't forget to visit India to have your fortune told.
After a relaxing vacation, the two guys chose to embark on another challenging journey: mountain climbing in Nepal.
"The journey by land from India is a bit tough, but not too bad. Going to Nepal without climbing mountains is like not having gone at all."
In the evening, set up camp, rest, and admire the Milky Way in the Sahara Desert (Egypt).
The following evening, we were in... South Korea. "It's a shame it rained so heavily that we couldn't see anything. See you next time in South Korea."
Don't forget to return to Taipei after being away for so long.
"The two of us eagerly took the train to Raohe Night Market to drink milk tea and eat grilled buns, then took the train back to Xinmending."
And we concluded our journey by experiencing the cherry blossom season at Ueno Park (Japan).
"The peach blossoms in real life are a bit redder than I imagined."
The tour was over, and the two guys quickly returned to their quarantine life.
The secret to traveling during the pandemic, according to these two guys: let your soul wander and your body get exercise.
Sharing about this unique photo series, which was entirely done at home, Quan Doan and Duc Tran said that all the content and concept were discussed and conceived by both of them; Quan wrote the script, and Duc was fully responsible for the technical aspects. "Most of the photos were meticulously set up with lighting, shot with a tripod and timer mode, or sometimes we asked Duc's mother (the beautiful woman playing the prophet in the Indian photo) to take the pictures for us."
All the "locations" in the album were filmed at the Airbnb "Home of Wanderful Dreamers" (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) owned by the couple.
Perhaps the number of countries Quân Đoàn and Đức Trần visited in a single day was greater than any other travel blogger in the world, but at the same time, the two guys were also among the most compliant with social distancing guidelines.
"The 15-day deadline is almost over, but even if it's extended further, we must all work together! Hopefully, the pandemic will be controlled soon and life will return to normal quickly!"
