Quan Doan and Duc Tran are two members ofWanderful Dreamers, a travel blog that is loved and followed by many young people on Facebook. Recently, a photo series with the theme "Lost at Home" shared by the two on the page quickly attracted the attention and interest of many travel enthusiasts. Specifically, in this album, Quan Doan and Duc Tran give detailed and vivid instructions on how to have a trip... at home.
"We took advantage of this long quarantine period to travel to many places," the two brothers shared. "A little time to return to old places and reminisce about old memories. The rest of the time we went to new places like India, Korea, or Egypt..."
And are you ready for the unique world tour of two Wanderful Dreamers?
Two guys "at the waiting room of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, preparing for a long trip following Prime Minister's Directive No. 16".
First destination: Hong Kong.
"Go to the Eastern Bus Station at 1pm to catch the bus to Hong Kong before dark, pretending to be a prostitute. During this pandemic, all the girls have switched to selling buns to keep up with the times."
Next destination: Tibet.
"Rescued a 4kg watermelon from Vietnam to Hong Kong and then climbed all the way to Tibet to make offerings to the Triple Gem. The temple is small but very peaceful."
Then suddenly turned towards... the Amazon jungle.
"Step into the forest in the evening sun / One searches for direction, the other catches birds"
After the mountains, it's time to go to the beach, Phuket (Thailand) straight away!
"During the pandemic, Phi Phi Island is full of ducks and no fish. The sea water is cool and smooth as silk, you can't see any sand when swimming."
...And suddenly turned to Bali (Indonesia) to hear "birds chirping and gibbons howling".
"I didn't expect to be able to return to Bali so quickly. This time I decided to stay at a resort deep in the forest and lie in a hammock reading a book."
Don't forget to visit India for fortune telling.
After resting, the two guys chose another arduous journey: climbing mountains in Nepal.
"Traveling by road from India is a bit difficult but not too bad. Going to Nepal without climbing the mountains is like not going at all."
At night, camp to rest and watch the milky way in the Sahara desert (Egypt).
The next night we were in... Korea. "It was too raining so we couldn't see anything. See you next time in Korea."
Don't forget to return to Taipei after many days away.
"The two of us were excited to take the train to Raohe night market to drink milk tea and eat grilled buns, then take the train back to Xinmending."
And end the journey by welcoming the cherry blossom season at Ueno Park (Japan).
"The peach blossoms in real life are a bit redder than I imagined."
The tour ended and the two guys quickly returned to their quarantine lives.
Travel tips during the pandemic from two guys: let your mind wander and your body train.
Sharing about this unique photo series that was done entirely at home, Quan Doan and Duc Tran said that all the content and concept were discussed and conceptualized by both of them; in which Quan was the one who rewrote the script, Duc was fully responsible for the technique. "Most of the photos, we set up the lighting carefully, took photos with a tripod with Timer mode or sometimes asked Duc's mother (the beautiful woman playing the prophet in the Indian photo) to help take the photo."
All the "locations" in the album were taken at the couple's Airbnb "Home of Wanderful Dreamers" (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
Perhaps the number of countries Quan Doan and Duc Tran "visited" in one day is more than any other travel blogger in the world, but at the same time, the two guys are also among the people who most actively comply with social distancing instructions.
"The 15-day deadline is almost over, but even if it is extended, we must all unite! Hopefully the epidemic will soon be controlled and life will return to normal soon!"
