Chi Pottery: Make your own handmade pottery

Chi Pottery was founded by a family with a long tradition of handmade pottery. Originating from artisan Nguyen Van Chi - a potter full of passion for the profession, he discovered a pottery line with its own artistic mark. He is also one of the individuals participating in the restoration of ancient cultural relics such as Hue Citadel, Hanoi Flag Tower...

Continuing the love for the profession and inheriting the legacy left by artisan Nguyen Van Chi, his children created Chi Pottery to bring handmade products that are both traditional and have the breath of modern life. Chi Pottery organizes pottery workshops every Saturday so that everyone has the opportunity to experience the craft of handmade pottery.

In each lesson, under the enthusiastic guidance of a family of ceramic artisans, you will learn how to create shapes with a wheel, how to design and decorate your own ceramic products such as cups, bowls, vases and comfortably bring them home as souvenirs. The meticulous creation of ceramic works with your own hands, even though they may not be perfect, is certainly an experience that carries some spiritual value.

In the midst of a modern society with countless new forms of entertainment, Chi Pottery chooses a solid, humble position for itself. This workshop is also an opportunity for the younger generation to have more contact with a traditional art form, as well as the precious artisans of the "old" generation.

Lach Cach Flower Shop: Learn to arrange beautiful flowers

An intimate and poetic experience is the closest description of the flower arrangement workshop series of Lach Cach Flower Shop. Starting out as a fresh flower shop, Lach Cach has left its mark in the community thanks to its extremely meticulous flower products. From the way it takes care of the small details in the products to each word shared on the Fanpage, the flower shop always brings a close and sincere atmosphere.

In 2021, Lach Cach Flower Shop organized a series of Seasonal Workshops with many interesting topics such as Arranging a beautiful flower basket, Door wreath, Flower arrangement in a vase,... Here, participants can choose a vase/flower basket model, types of flowers and leaves in their favorite color tones, then practice arranging directly under the guidance of teacher Thuy Nguyen - also the owner of the Flower Shop.

To inspire each student, the workshop also focuses on the space - from the lovely and warm decor style, to the meticulousness in every detail such as aprons and costumes. In the Tet flower arrangement workshop, the whole class wore Ao Dai together to immerse themselves in this special traditional theme. That has created a connection between people and is also an interesting point of Lach Cach that few places can do. Coming to the class, you will not only bring home your own art product but also pocket an album full of extremely lovely and poetic photos.

Tipsy Art: Art Painting

The painting workshop model is no longer strange, but few people know that Tipsy Art is one of the first names to bring this trend closer to young people a few years ago. Until now, this is still a familiar and trusted address for those who love painting, want to create their own works without much time to attend intensive classes.

Not stopping at the teacher instructing - students following, Tipsy Art cleverly creates a space that integrates the senses to inspire artistic inspiration in each person. You can draw, listen to good music, enjoy drinks and socialize, get to know many new friends with the same interests.

No need to be a "drawing" person or skillful, you can still create a personal wall painting with the guidance of teachers and teaching assistants. Paintings and necessary tools are provided, all you need to prepare is a happy, comfortable mood for artistic inspiration to flow fully.

“At first, when I signed up to participate, I was hesitant because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to draw. However, the teacher and teaching assistant were very enthusiastic and guided me step by step. In the end, I brought home a beautiful painting that I am hanging in my bedroom to look at every day,” shared Tu Anh, a young person participating in Tipsy Art’s workshop.

Depending on the venue, each workshop will have 20-25 participants and the duration will range from 3 to 4 hours. Perhaps there is nothing more interesting than a leisurely weekend chatting, painting with melodious music in your ears and also being able to take home your own artwork.

Tòng Teng Ceramic: Learn to make colorful mosaics

Although Mosaic Art is a decorative craft art with a history of thousands of years, it is still quite new in Vietnam. Mosaic Workshop in Saigon was established with the aim of introducing this interesting culture to young people.

Here, after choosing a design they like, participants will be able to press, select and arrange colored glass beads themselves, then frame them into a wooden frame to create their own unique painting. Of course, like other workshops, the entire process will be carefully guided by artisans from Tong Teng.

Unlike traditional paintings, Mosaic paintings have a strange beauty, at first glance they seem sturdy and thorny, but each detail requires the maker to be extremely meticulous, skillful and persistent to connect the small pieces into a lively whole. You also do not have to worry about preservation because the glass material can be durable and long-lasting over time.
