Michelin stars are how the Michelin Guide rates the quality of a restaurant's cuisine. One star is for a place with delicious food worth trying. Two stars are for a restaurant with excellent food quality, worthy of a visit. Three stars is the highest rating, for an exceptional culinary experience, worth traveling to just to enjoy.

Among the new establishments added to the Michelin Guide, 10 are from Hanoi (5 Bib Gourmand, 5 Michelin Selected, and 1 Michelin Green Star), 7 are from Ho Chi Minh City (1 restaurant with one Michelin Star and 6 Michelin Selected), and 7 are from Da Nang (4 Bib Gourmand and 3 Michelin Selected). Additionally, a restaurant in Hanoi was honored with the new Michelin Green Star award – recognizing its remarkable efforts in practicing sustainable and environmentally friendly development.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of Michelin Guides, said: “This year, we are very proud to see an increase in the number of Michelin-starred establishments, and these establishments boast talented chefs. Many of them have returned to their roots, combining modern cooking techniques to tell stories of their homelands and rediscover the flavors of childhood. At the same time, street food stalls, family-run restaurants, and long-established eateries continue to focus on preserving culinary traditions with authenticity and passion.”
