La Tour d'Argent, the legendary restaurant that inspired Disney's 2007 animated film "Ratatouille," brings a unique French culinary experience to Hanoi. Considered an icon of French gastronomic heritage, La Tour d'Argent will take over Le Beaulieu restaurant at Metropole Hanoi from October 23rd to 27th, 2024, transforming it into a "miniature Paris" with its lunch and dinner menus.
To enjoy Charlie Chaplin-style roast duck in Paris, visitors would need to book a table two months in advance. But after traveling over 10,000 km from the heart of Paris to Hanoi, Vietnamese food enthusiasts can finally see and savor this unique dish at Le Beaulieu restaurant in the Metropole Hanoi.
Located on the banks of the Seine River since 1582, La Tour d'Argent is considered an icon of French culinary heritage.

From the unique aerial duck-slicing performance to the flambéing technique used to create the "crepes Mademoiselle," La Tour d'Argent will bring the refined flavors of French cuisine from the heart of Paris to the capital city of Hanoi. A highlight of the event is "Caneton Charlie Chaplin" (Charlie Chaplin-style roast duck) – a signature dish in memory of Charlie Chaplin, the "king of comedy," who honeymooned at the Metropole Hanoi Hotel in 1936 and dined at La Tour d'Argent.
The Charlie Chaplin-style roast duck is incredibly elaborate. These ducks are raised exclusively on the restaurant's farm to ensure meat quality, and each duck is individually numbered. The cooking technique is the same as in the Paris restaurant, but the flavor will incorporate some creative touches specifically for this event in Hanoi.
