Heritage Wing - the most important and iconic historic building of the Metropole Hanoi Hotel has just undergone a 21-month renovation with a new look. During its 123 years of existence, Heritage Wing has only undergone 3 major renovations in 1992, 2004 and 2023.
Opened in 1901, the Heritage Wing was completed in 1908 with a 22-room block overlooking the Toad Garden. Since then, the Heritage building has hosted many heads of state, royal families, actors, writers, musicians and many other world-famous figures.
Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi recently held a grand reopening ceremony for the Heritage Wing after a long period of comprehensive renovation of the historic building.
This time, the Heritage Wing of the Metropole Hanoi Hotel has just taken on a new look with 94 standard rooms; 6 Metropole suites and 3 Legendary suites named after famous people Charlie Chaplin, Somerset Maugham, Graham Greene; 40 Grand Luxury rooms and 54 Luxury rooms.

All the furniture such as bed, desk, tea table, sofa in the living room are designed elegantly. The bathroom is covered with Italian marble and equipped with high-class equipment such as bathtub, shower, lighting system, artwork and furniture. The toilet uses the latest model of Toto brand.
The carpets in the common areas of the building are custom designed and inspired by Vietnamese cultural symbols such as conical hats, woven bamboo and rattan, and classic Indochinese decorative motifs. Curtains and upholstery, along with contemporary artworks, add a colorful touch while creating a bright and airy space for all rooms.
The Charlie Chaplin Room is named after the famous comedian Charlie Chaplin, who stayed at the Metropole Hanoi during his honeymoon in 1936.
The ceiling above the reception area is installed with an artistic antique mirror, and the dark rectangular wooden wall frame creates a highlight for the waiting area. The soft lighting system creates a cozy space.
New technology applied in Heritage Wing must include the classic metal wiring and electrical switches of Legrand, a French industrial group. Modern technology equipment includes IPTV internet television, mood lighting system and air conditioning system customized according to space and usage needs, wifi routers are installed in each room to ensure maximum internet speed. The lighting system has three modes: “work”, “relax” and “full” along with a custom night light button.
The waiting area in the lobby has a nostalgic feel with a modern, luxurious space.
The Grand Luxury room's bathroom is tiled with Italian marble and features new fixtures.

The neoclassical Opera Wing block has 236 guest rooms, 18 suites and 1 Grand Prestige room (Presidential room) with an area of 176 m2Each room is equipped with the most modern facilities.
The 5th, 6th and 7th floors of Club Metropole are home to Grand Premium rooms and suites with premium services such as "Majordome" 24/7 butler service, afternoon tea, evening cocktails.

Le Beaulieu Restaurant is the address for authentic French cuisine in Hanoi, Spice Garden Restaurant with traditional Vietnamese dishes enhanced with modern and high-class features.
