Ratatouille restaurant prototype brings exclusive culinary experience to Metropole Hanoi in late October

The 400-year-old Parisian restaurant La Tour d'Argent, which inspired Disney's 2007 hit film Ratatouille, is set to bring an exclusive dining experience to Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi later this month.

Considered a symbol of French culinary heritage, La Tour d'Argent will take over Le Beaulieu restaurant of Metropole Hanoi from October 23 to 27, 2024 with a 5-course lunch menu and 8-course dinner menu, promising to bring unique and special experiences. The 8-course dinner costs from VND 5,500,000/person (optional additional VND 2,500,000 with wine) and the 5-course lunch costs from VND 2,800,000/person (optional additional VND 1,200,000 with wine). Prices do not include tax and service charge. Guests must book and pay in advance as seats are limited.

First opened in 1582, La Tour d'Argent has served royalty and nobility, heads of state, high-ranking officials from around the world, and many famous writers and actors. Run by Chef Yannick Franques, who was awarded the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvriers de France in 2004, awarded to the most skilled craftsmen in various fields, La Tour d'Argent currently holds one Michelin star and is renowned for its classic and modern French cuisine and its exceptional wine cellar with over 300,000 of the finest wines.

One of the signature dishes that has made the name of La Tour d'Argent, a restaurant with a history of more than 400 years, is the famous pressed duck. Since 1890, customers who come to enjoy this signature dish of the restaurant will receive a certificate card with the number of the duck they are served. To date, the number has exceeded the one million mark. Many famous guests also own this special certificate, such as duck code 112,151 belonging to former US President Franklin D. Roosevelt or code 253,652 belonging to the king of comedy Charlie Chaplin. Now, diners will have the opportunity to enjoy this legendary dish right in the capital Hanoi.
