Gout de France is an annual French-style food festival held worldwide. 2019 marked the 5th time this important cultural event was held in Vietnam, with the participation of 51 restaurants across the country.

At the press conference, Mr. Vincent Floreani, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, stated that Vietnam currently ranks 7th out of 150 countries in the number of restaurants participating in the event on March 21st, ahead of the UK, Spain, and Mexico, and one place higher than in 2018. All participating establishments must prepare a French-style dinner. Diners will have the opportunity to enjoy and discover the unique aspects of French culinary culture through this meal.

Also at the press conference, talented chef Nguyen Manh Phuc from Le Bordeaux restaurant personally prepared the famous French Grand Marnier soufflé and introduced it to the delegates and guests. Le Bordeaux restaurant has been operating in Ho Chi Minh City for 23 years and this is the 5th time the restaurant has participated in the Gout de France French food festival.

The Gout de France food festival also organizes many other important events such as: a seminar on "The Golden Key to a Balanced and Healthy Diet", screenings of documentaries about the famous chef Alain Ducasse, and especially an exhibition of photographs showcasing typical French cheeses and cured meats (FICT).

Founded in 1924, FICT brings together 301 businesses of all sizes across France. FICT consistently supports, provides information, and offers advice to its member businesses. The association contributes to maintaining and enhancing the value of traditional French pâté and cured meat processing techniques. French cured meats represent a centuries-old art form, bringing joy, sharing, and hospitality. These products also demonstrate creativity and superb processing techniques.
