Dustin owns two YouTube and Instagram channels called Vietnam Meets Dustin. The content revolves around his daily experiences in a rural area of Vietnam. Dustin has a particular fondness for Vietnamese cuisine. He often posts videos of himself trying dishes such as broken rice with grilled pork, vermicelli with fermented fish sauce, pho, etc.
"I could eat broken rice every day," Dustin shared in a video clip.
Recently, Dustin decided to try what he described as "extreme food," local dishes that might seem strange or even frightening to foreigners. Dustin and his friends laughed and joked that they were eating "Vietnam's natural Viagra."
Dustin loves Vietnamese food, and he often cooks traditional dishes himself.
Dustin and his Vietnamese friend went to a restaurant in Go Vap to enjoy a dish said to enhance male potency. Apparently, this restaurant, specializing in goat dishes, has been around for nearly a decade and seasons its food according to the Nam Dinh style.
Claiming to be easy to please, Dustin eagerly examined the menu and ordered grilled goat testicles, goat udder, and goat brain. When his friend questioned whether Dustin could eat these dishes, he just laughed and said, "I'm used to it." Indeed, Dustin could eat fermented tofu and chili sauce, two pungent and spicy Vietnamese dishes.
"Just add as much chili as you want, don't worry," Dustin told his friend.
The appetizer was grilled pork udder with chili sauce. Dustin commented that this was a unique dish found only in Vietnam. He had never tried it in any other country. Instead of using a charcoal grill, the pork udder was grilled in a traditional Vietnamese pan, so the skin didn't burn and the meat retained its juiciness. After tasting the first bite, Dustin said the flavor was very different from other types of meat.

"The pork udder is both tender and chewy, but it has a very unique flavor that I can't quite explain. Especially when served with fermented bean curd, the strong flavor makes the dish much tastier," Dustin shared in his experience video.
Finally, the star of the culinary experience appeared. The goat testicle hot pot was brought to the table. Dustin was surprised by the enormous size of this special dish. As an arm wrestler, Dustin had large, muscular arms. Yet, this goat testicle was as long and large as his bicep. Dustin and his friend had to wait a few minutes for the testicle to be partially cooked, after which the waiter would cut it into smaller pieces and cook it again.
After tasting the dish, Dustin noted that the flavor changed with each bite. Each piece of the goat testicles had a different level of chewiness and tenderness. Notably, the dish had no fishy smell and tasted sweet after chewing several times. Dustin suggested that the herbs in the hot pot might have neutralized the odor and enhanced the flavor.
Dustin went fishing with his friends.
According to folk beliefs, goat meat is considered a medicinal food with a sweet taste and warm properties, believed to nourish the blood. Goat testicles are said to help the body produce more testosterone, making them suitable for boosting men's health. Therefore, goat testicles are usually more expensive than other types of meat. Dustin said that after eating, he didn't feel anything unusual. He is willing to spend money to experience more "extreme food" in Vietnam in the near future.
