The idea of taking his mother on a motorbike trip from Da Lat to Hue came to the mind of the 1996-born son unexpectedly. Previously, his mother had booked a plane ticket costing over 2 million VND to Hue to attend the inauguration ceremony of their family church in Bao La village. Hearing her son's suggestion, she canceled her ticket and accepted his invitation to go with him. The two planned the trip a month in advance. From July 13th to 19th, they started their journey from Da Lat, touring the central region and stopping in Hue.
Previously, Thai Anh and her mother often traveled together. However, a motorbike trip of this length was their first experience. The two embarked on a 7-day journey, spending the first 3 days in Hue, staying in Hue for 2 days, and returning to Da Lat for 2 days. According to Thai Anh, this timeframe was reasonable, allowing them to travel at a leisurely pace and enjoy the experience. Each day, they traveled about 250 km, except for the 6th day, when they traveled from Hue to Tuy Hoa, covering 500 km in one go.

Spending hours traveling on a motorbike, Thai Anh worried about her mother's health, especially in the hot weather of central Vietnam.
"My mother has a history of heart disease and a herniated disc, and she's also getting old, so I'm very worried," Thai Anh shared.
Sitting on the motorbike for so long, his mother gets tired. Whenever that happens, Thai Anh will stop and find a place for them to rest and drink water. He also mentioned that his mother loves traveling so much that she sometimes overlooks her hernia. "I feel like she's healthier, happier, and even prouder for conquering such a long journey," Thai Anh shared.
This was a memorable experience for both mother and son. Thai Anh and his mother shared their feelings along the way, helping him understand more about how his mother perceives the world around her.

Traveling along coastal roads and through rice fields, the mother and daughter were thrilled to witness the beauty of Vietnam firsthand. The advantage of driving a motorbike instead of flying was the freedom to explore beautiful spots, stopping wherever they liked to take pictures, chatting animatedly, and discussing the stunning scenery they had just seen.
He and his mother were most impressed by the rice paddies in Hue, Eo Gió in Quy Nhon, and Ghenh Da Dia in Phu Yen. He particularly loved the road to Ky Co and Eo Gió, as it was wide, straight, and long – perfect for someone who enjoys riding a motorbike like him. In Hue, he enjoyed the tranquility of Bao La village, cycling around the hamlet and breathing in the scent of the rice.

On the way back to Da Lat, worried about his mother's fatigue, Thai Anh suggested she travel by plane, but his mother insisted, "I have to complete this trip."
However, having become accustomed to Da Lat's year-round cool climate, the mother and daughter still felt tired on the way back. The journey there was fine, as they were still excited. However, on the return trip, the heat of Central Vietnam made them both exhausted, especially between 10 am and 4 pm when the sun was scorching. Fortunately, the mother and daughter did not encounter any incidents on the way.
Thai Anh spent nearly 15 million VND on the trip, including about 2 million VND for fuel. For food and rest, he chose places along the way, stopping wherever he found interesting, rather than focusing too much on the location. In the future, when he and his mother have the time, they plan to take another motorbike trip to Northwest Vietnam.
