Deep Dive Dubai holds 14 million liters of fresh water, equivalent to the volume of six Olympic swimming pools, at least four times larger than any standard diving pool in the world. Guinness World Records awarded the title of "deepest swimming pool for diving" to Deep Dive Dubai on June 27.
The water in the pool is maintained at 30 degrees Celsius, a comfortable temperature for wearing a wetsuit or thin swimsuit. Deep Dive Dubai also offers courses for both beginners and advanced divers. Divers must be certified to participate in the experience. Divers can also explore the pool and underwater city on their own after a guided tour.
Additionally, Deep Dive Dubai Management recommends that divers wait at least 18-24 hours before engaging in activities at altitudes above 300 m. Otherwise, visitors can visit skyscrapers before diving without worrying about health effects.
Before the experience, divers must attend a training course to ensure safety.
Due to the pandemic, the pool is open to priority guests by invitation only. The facility will open to the public later this year. Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a skilled diver, was one of the first guests to visit the pool and shared his experience on social media.
