El Nido de Quetzalcóatl, or Quetzalcóatl's Nest, is a complex of 10 Airbnb apartments nestled in the woods in the town of Naucalpan, Mexico.
Nestled amidst rolling hills and lush oak forests, the El Nido de Quetzalcóatl residential complex resembles a serpent coiling through the earth. Designed by Mexican architect Javier Senosiain, it draws inspiration from Quetzalcóatl, the Aztec feathered serpent god.

Senosiain designed El Nido de Quetzalcóatl based on the concept of organic architecture, a term coined by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the early 1900s. This term refers to the balance between the human living environment and the natural environment. El Nido de Quetzalcóatl is located about an hour's drive from Mexico City. Construction began in 2001 and was completed in 2007, six years later.

The exterior walls of El Nido de Quetzalcóatl are gilded in iridescent colors, such as emerald and deep violet, intended to mimic the fur of the god Quetzalcóatl. To match the serpent theme, the architecture here is mostly characterized by undulating curves or circular shapes.
Located on a plot of land nearly 7,500 m²2The complex has a total construction area of approximately 1,500 m².2It comprises 10 different apartments. These apartments are located in the "snake's back" section, with three on the upper floor and seven on the lower floor.
Each apartment, approximately 6.5 meters high and 8.5 meters wide, features an arched ceiling; the walls are painted in neutral colors, contrasting with the vibrant exterior; and numerous windows offer views of the green landscape, which from a distance resembles dots on a snake's body.
"The Egg" is a circular room at El Nido de Quetzalcóatl, featuring pristine white walls and designed as a minimalist, modern lounge area.
Each apartment has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry area, and can accommodate up to eight people at a time. They are connected by colorful corridors.
