Croatia has begun opening its borders to Germany and nine other Eastern European countries. Tourists from these countries are expected to be allowed to enter Croatia from mid-June, with conditions such as booking tours and accommodation in advance.
Iceland
Fortress in Dubrovnik, Croatia
From June 15, Iceland will begin to ease restrictions on foreign tourists. Before entering the country, visitors only need to have a medical record proving that they are not infected with Covid-19, and commit to complying with Iceland's health safety regulations to be free to travel as usual.
Ancient Town of Óbidos, Portugal
Portugal will begin to welcome tourists from many other European countries, except Spain and Italy - the two biggest epidemic hotspots in the region. People from the remaining countries will be free to travel without having to go through a quarantine period.
The UK has also welcomed international visitors back since June 8, however, citizens entering the country must undergo a 14-day quarantine as required by regulations.
London, England
Cyprus
Cyprus has allowed tourists from Germany, Greece and several other countries to visit since June 9. Visitors only need to have proof that they have not been infected with Covid-19 in the three days before arriving in the country to enter. This test requirement is expected to be lifted by June 20. Currently, Cyprus still bans visitors from the UK and Russia.
From June 15, Germany will lift its travel ban on some EU members, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. From June 3, Italy reopened to tourists from the EU and the UK.
Dresden, Germany
Plaza de España, Sevilla, Spain
Piazza Navona, Rome, Italy
Spain will end its state of emergency on June 21. The government is planning to allow tourists from some low-risk countries to enter from July 1.
The ancient village of Hallstatt, Austria
The Austrian government lifted its border ban on June 11. From now on, citizens of European countries coming to Austria will no longer need to undergo a 14-day quarantine period. However, Austria is still banning people coming from Italy due to concerns that the epidemic will continue to spread.
Milos Island, Greece
Greece will allow international flights into Athens and Thessaloniki airports from June 15. Accordingly, people coming from epidemic areas such as the UK will have to be tested for Covid-19 before leaving the airport. If the result is positive, visitors will have to quarantine for 14 days, if negative, visitors will have to quarantine for a week.
