Mountain climbing is an extreme sport, which can be considered a double-edged sword because the most wonderful moments often go hand in hand with danger and risk. In the same setting, where the climber can reach the peak of emotions, it can also take their lives. However, many people around the world are still passionate about this sport, and they even enjoy more daring challenges such as conquering mountain peaks on precarious cliffs, giant icebergs in harsh weather conditions.

Not only is rock climbing a physical activity that requires total athleticism, it also requires mental effort. A moment of distraction, an uncertain step, a moment of hesitation, or any other setback can lead to unpredictable consequences - from hitting your head on a rock, slipping, or worse, plunging straight into a ravine...
So, why do some people still dare to participate in the most dangerous sport on the planet? This depends on the personal ideal of each climber. Some people want to conquer achievements, some like to challenge themselves, some people are eager to explore the almost inaccessible places of the world, and there are climbers who want to prove their confidence and effort to everyone.
The photo series below shows the appeal and spectacularity of mountain climbing, and most of all, the courage of those who reach the top of the world with... their fingertips.
