The 2018 Gold List awards were announced in the January issue and on the official website of Condé Nast Traveler magazine. This is an annual award from Condé Nast Traveler magazine that honors outstanding hotels across six continents and 54 countries.
Pilar Guzmán, Editor-in-Chief of Condé Nast Traveler, said: “This year’s Gold List award is a ‘love letter’ we want to send to the hotels, resorts and cruises that have delivered amazing experiences on every trip. Each destination is a truly memorable experience with emotions that are difficult to put into words, and always compel us to return, like a destined connection.”
William J. Haandrikman, General Manager of Metropole Hanoi Hotel, shared: “The Gold List award is a fantastic achievement! Maintaining a leading position among prestigious hotels in popular destinations demonstrates that Metropole Hanoi remains a reliable choice.”
Previously, in October 2017, over 300,000 readers of Condé Nast Traveler also voted Metropole Hanoi in the list of best hotels in Asia - the annual Readers' Choice Awards.
The Gold List is a more selective award than the Readers' Choice Awards. Of the eight hotels and resorts in Vietnam recognized in the Readers' Choice Awards, only two were included in the 2018 Gold List.
