Dassault Aviation asserts that its Falcon business jet is a worthwhile investment for Vietnamese businesspeople: private space, luxurious amenities, ultra-long-haul direct flights, capable of handling even challenging airports.

Dassault Aviation, a leading global manufacturer of business jets, sees growth potential in the Vietnamese market for its Falcon series aircraft, which boast large passenger cabins and ultra-long range, amidst increasing demand for versatile business jets.

The demand for business jets in Vietnam – a much more efficient mode of transport than commercial flights – is partly driven by the country's strong economic growth and the trend of domestic businesses expanding internationally. The Vietnamese government forecasts that the economy will achieve GDP growth of 11.9% in the second half of 2026 compared to the same period last year.

In addition, the booming manufacturing and industrial sectors are playing an increasingly essential role in global supply chains, thereby driving demand for business airlines.

Direct flights to Europe and North America

Vietnam currently has the fastest-growing business airline market in the Asia-Pacific region, with 16 aircraft, a 77.8% increase compared to last year. Of the 16 aircraft operating in Vietnam, 14 are long-haul business jets with large passenger cabins and ultra-long range. This indicates that many aircraft owners in Vietnam desire the ability to operate direct flights from Vietnam to Europe and North America.

Of these 16 aircraft, seven belong to the Dassault Falcon family – including six Falcon 8X and one Falcon 2000S. The Falcon 8X is currently the most popular Dassault aircraft in Vietnam due to its spacious passenger cabin and range of up to 6,450 nautical miles, allowing passengers to fly directly from Hanoi to the West Coast of the United States as well as all of Europe.

Beyond range, aircraft owners in Vietnam also value flexibility – the ability to access airports with complex terrain. Falcon aircraft can take off and land on runways in Vietnam that other aircraft of similar size cannot access.

Con Dao Airport (VCS) and Ca Mau Airport (CAH) are prime examples of airports that simultaneously possess very short runways. Falcon aircraft can access these airports thanks to their optimized design, allowing for slower approach speeds during landing and lighter structural weight. Dien Bien Phu Airport (DIN), although having a longer runway, also presents a challenge due to limited visibility during the rainy season and mountainous terrain requiring a steep approach slope.

Thanks to advanced aerodynamic features and a precise digital flight control system (DFCS) inherited from military fighter aircraft technology, Dassault Falcon aircraft are fully capable of performing this steep approach maneuver.

This aircraft also helps pilots improve situational awareness in various weather conditions thanks to FalconEye – a vision assistance system, also developed from military technology, combining synthetic and enhanced vision. This revolutionary and unique system integrates six different sensors, merging images from both the visible and infrared light spectrums.

From the Rafale fighter jet to the Falcon business jet.

Dassault Aviation is unique because it is the only manufacturer of business jets that also produces military fighter aircraft. The company has consistently maintained its leading position in business aviation technology by adapting military innovations for civilian applications.

With over 10,000 military and civilian aircraft (including 2,800 Falcons) delivered to more than 90 countries over the past 110 years, Dassault Aviation has demonstrated superior expertise and is recognized worldwide in the design, manufacture, sales, and support of all aircraft classes.

The company's product portfolio ranges from Rafale fighter jets and the Falcon luxury business jets to military unmanned aerial vehicles and space systems. By 2025, Dassault Aviation is expected to have a workforce of approximately 15,000 people and record revenue of €7.4 billion.

Dassault's extensive experience in using composite materials also stems from its fighter aircraft technology. The fuselage and wings of the Dassault Rafale fighter jet are both constructed from this type of composite material.

The new Falcon 10X business jet, which made its maiden flight on June 19, 2026, is the first dedicated aircraft to feature a wing design made entirely of composite materials. This technology significantly reduces the aircraft's weight while optimizing the wing's aerodynamic design.

The Falcon 10X also boasts the largest passenger cabin cross-section currently available, offering passengers ample space and exceptional comfort. The interior measures 2.03 meters in height, 2.77 meters in width, and 16.4 meters in length – ideal dimensions to accommodate four separate lounge areas, giving owners greater flexibility in customizing the interior space.

Falcon 10X has promising prospects in the Vietnamese market.

“The Falcon 10X will be a game-changer for the business aviation industry, setting a new benchmark for passenger comfort and experience,” said Carlos Brana, Executive Vice President of Civil Aircraft at Dassault Aviation.

With a range of 7,500 nautical miles, this aircraft allows passengers to fly directly from Hanoi to anywhere in Europe and almost any destination in the United States.

Mr. Brana further shared: “We designed the Falcon 10X for the global market, but we found this private jet to be perfectly suited for markets in Asia, such as Vietnam, where range is extremely important. We have very high expectations for the Falcon 10X's prospects in the Vietnamese market.”

The corporation invests in superior aviation design processes and manufacturing capabilities to deliver world-leading aircraft. Simultaneously, Dassault Aviation continues to invest in a customer support network to assist operators in Asia, including Vietnam.

"When customers are considering purchasing an aircraft, they always want to know whether that aircraft model will receive good support services both regionally and globally," Brana shared.

Dassault Aviation provides aircraft maintenance services to Falcon operators in Asia through its wholly owned subsidiary, ExecuJet MRO Malaysia, and its network of third-party authorized service centers. ExecuJet MRO Malaysia is certified by the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority to perform scheduled technical maintenance and overhaul services for Falcon aircraft registered in Vietnam.

At the same time, Dassault Aviation also has a team of service representatives in Vietnam to provide direct support to local operators.
