Facing the World, Pan Pacific Hanoi raises funds to support children with disabilities

On the evening of May 6, 2018, Facing The World and Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel organized a Gratitude Concert to celebrate Facing The World's 10th anniversary. At the same time, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement to raise funds to support children with disabilities in Vietnam.

Pan Pacific Hanoi will join hands with Facing The Worldconduct many fundraising activities for surgery.

Facing the World is a UK-based medical charity dedicated to providing craniofacial surgery and treatment to children in developing countries. Over the past 10 years, Facing the World has made a significant contribution to changing the lives of thousands of children with disabilities in Vietnam.

With the motto of respecting and caring for the community of Pan Pacific Group, within the next year, Pan Pacific Hanoi will join hands with Facing The World to promote communication for this organization as well as conduct many fundraising activities to raise funds for surgery for Facing The World. The hotel will arrange envelopes to be sent to guests and charity boxes placed at the hotel to encourage residents to donate money to Facing The World. In addition, a portion of the revenue from the children's dishes on the hotel menu will also be contributed to the fund.

Following the signing ceremony is a concert to celebrate Facing The World's 10th anniversary in Vietnam and to thank the generous donors who have enthusiastically supported the organization. At the Pacific Ballroom, pianist Bich Tra - the first Vietnamese to be awarded the title ARAM (Associate of the Royal Academy of Music) by the Royal Academy of Music, pianist Thu Hien, and singer Mien Thao will bring melodious and profound sounds.

Within the framework of the program, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations will present a Commemorative Medal to Ms. Katrin Kandel - Executive Director of Facing the World to recognize her contributions and dedication in particular and that of the organization in general in Vietnam over the past 10 years. This is an important milestone in the journey of Facing The World, demonstrating the recognition of Vietnamese state agencies as well as international organizations for the contributions and dedication of this charity organization in changing the lives of disadvantaged children, helping them have a better life, so that Vietnam will gradually reduce the number of disadvantaged lives due to disabilities.
