Facing the World, Pan Pacific Hanoi raises funds to support children with disabilities.

On the evening of May 6, 2018, Facing The World, together with the Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel, organized a Thanksgiving Concert to celebrate Facing The World's 10th anniversary. Simultaneously, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement to raise funds to support children with birth defects in Vietnam.

Pan Pacific Hanoi will join hands with Facing The WorldThey conducted numerous fundraising activities to raise money for the surgery.

Facing the World is a UK-based charitable medical organization founded with the goal of treating and performing craniofacial surgery on children in developing countries. For over 10 years, Facing the World has made a significant contribution to changing the lives of thousands of children with birth defects in Vietnam.

In keeping with Pan Pacific Group's commitment to respecting and caring for the community, over the next year, Pan Pacific Hanoi will collaborate with Facing The World to promote the organization through media coverage and conduct fundraising activities to support Facing The World's surgeries. The hotel will provide envelopes and donation boxes to encourage guests to contribute to Facing The World. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from children's meals on the hotel's menu will also be donated to the fund.

The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between Facing The World, represented by Ms. Katrin Kandel, and Pan Pacific Hanoi, represented by Mr. Marc Emmanuel, was honored with the presence of distinguished guests such as Mr. Don Tuan Phong - Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau - Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on UNESCO issues, British Ambassador Giles Lever, and representatives from many organizations, companies, and sponsors who have partnered with Facing The World over the past time, such as Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Hong Ngoc General Hospital, Emerald Garment Joint Stock Company, etc.

Following the signing ceremony will be a concert celebrating 10 years of Facing The World's activities in Vietnam and expressing gratitude to the generous donors who have enthusiastically supported the organization. At the Pacific Ballroom, pianist Bich Tra – the first Vietnamese person to be awarded the ARAM (Associate of the Royal Academy of Music) title by the Royal Academy of Music of Great Britain, pianist Thu Hien, and singer Mien Thao will deliver melodious and profound musical performances.

Within the framework of the program, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations will present a commemorative medal to Ms. Katrin Kandel, Executive Director of Facing the World, to recognize her contributions and dedication, as well as those of the organization in general, in Vietnam over the past 10 years. This is an important milestone in Facing the World's journey, demonstrating the recognition by Vietnamese state agencies and international organizations of the charitable organization's contributions in changing the lives of underprivileged children, helping them to have better lives, and gradually reducing the number of disadvantaged children with disabilities in Vietnam.
