Maldives

In the summer of 2016, after a romantic wedding on the beaches of Da Nang, Ha Anh and her husband Olly Dowden chose the Maldives as their honeymoon destination. The couple both loved the picturesque natural scenery. The Maldives boasts luxurious resorts, high-end services, diverse accommodation options ranging from $500 to $1,000 per night, depending on the couple's budget and preferences.

This paradise island enjoys year-round sunshine, crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine white sand beaches, fresh air, and a private and tranquil atmosphere. Wanting to immerse themselves in this absolute privacy, Ha Anh and her husband chose a resort with villas situated right on the water. The period from December to April each year is considered the ideal time to visit the Maldives. However, their honeymoon experience in August 2016 was also incredibly wonderful, with warm sunshine, clear, blue waters so transparent you could easily see the seabed teeming with fish. Watching the sunset and feeding sharks were just two of the many activities Ha Anh and her husband enjoyed in this earthly paradise.

It was also the place Ha Anh and her husband chose for their summer vacation in the US to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in July 2017. Driving along the Pacific coast highway of California was a truly unique and exciting experience for adventurous couples like Ha Anh and Olly. The picturesque scenery of the blue ocean, the endless horizon, and the majestic mountains here is truly captivating.

Malibu boasts Surfrider Beach, also known as Malibu Bay National Beach, a haven for surfers. Surfrider Beach is also a great spot for enjoying delicious food along the coast. From here, you can easily reach the legendary Venice Beach, one of Southern California's most popular tourist destinations – a picturesque canal area nestled between modern, laid-back homes, bustling with activity and breathtakingly romantic sunsets.

Château Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac

But another wonderful experience, as Ha Anh revealed, is traveling to the French countryside, the places that grow grapes and produce some of the world's finest wines, champagnes, and cognacs. Château Lafite Rothschild is one such place!

Also part of the wine and champagne empire of the Barons de Rothschild, one of the world's wealthiest families, Chateau Lafite is open to tourists, but reservations must be made several months in advance. Upon arriving at Chateau Lafite, alongside the vast, lush green hills, the magnificent castle stands majestically.

Here, visitors can enter the wine cellars and learn about the history of the area, including various winemaking methods and grape selections from this traditional, culturally rich region. Among the attractions is a historic family cellar dating back to the 1700s, incredibly ancient and mysterious. Finally, visitors can stop at the world's first arched wine cellar, a work of art, to enjoy fine wines. Bottles of wine stored here are valued at over 1,000 euros.
