The first double-decker bus route is scheduled to begin operating on June 15th, with a 53km route passing through many popular tourist destinations in Ha Long.

The Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just approved a pilot program for double-decker buses to serve tourists, connecting tourist attractions in the center of Ha Long City. Notably, the buses, with their unique "open-top" design, will allow tourists to easily explore the city and enjoy the local atmosphere instead of just looking out the window.

Initially, the company operating this route will pilot two buses. Each bus has 63 seats, with 45 seats on the second floor, and a dedicated area for the elderly, disabled, and children. The buses use GPS navigation technology, meet Euro 4 emission standards, offer free Wi-Fi, and are equipped with USB charging ports, refrigerators, screens, surveillance cameras, headphones, and automatic card payment systems.

Ticket prices will be calculated per leg of the journey, with different time slots throughout the day. A full-day package is expected to cost no more than 300,000 VND, with a minimum price of 180,000 VND. Upon launch, Ha Long will have a new tourism product. This flexible and convenient tourism service combines transportation and sightseeing of the city's various tourism products and services, contributing to promoting Ha Long's tourism image, increasing convenience, and reducing congestion on inner-city roads when tourists use private vehicles for sightseeing.
