Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just approved a pilot double-decker bus route to serve tourists to connect tourist attractions in the center of Ha Long City. In particular, the buses have a unique "open-top" part that will help tourists easily visit the city and enjoy the local atmosphere instead of just looking through the car window.
Specifically, the double-decker bus route will start at Ha Long Park (Vuon Dao intersection, Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city) and go through 9 stages, connecting to tourist and shopping spots such as: Bai Chay tourist area, Ha Long 1 market, square, museum, coastal roads of Bai Chay, Hon Gai, Tuan Chau tourist area...), with a total distance of 53km. The bus route is expected to be operational from June 15.
In the first phase, the company operating this route will pilot 2 vehicles. Each vehicle has 63 seats, with 45 seats on the 2nd floor, with a separate area for the elderly, the disabled and children. The vehicle uses GPS navigation technology, meets Euro 4 emission standards, is environmentally friendly, provides free wifi, is equipped with USB charging ports, refrigerators, screens, surveillance cameras, headphones and can be paid for by automatic card swipers...
Ticket prices will be calculated for the entire journey with different time slots during the day. The one-day package ticket is expected to cost no more than 300,000 VND, the lowest is 180,000 VND. When put into operation, Ha Long will have a new tourism product. This is a flexible and convenient type of tourism service, combining transportation and sightseeing of the city's chain of tourism products and services, contributing to promoting the image of Ha Long tourism, increasing convenience, reducing the load on inner-city routes when tourists use personal vehicles to visit.
