Within the framework of the campaign "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam", Hanoi city coordinated with relevant departments to organize the program "Promoting Hanoi Cultural - Tourism Destination 2020", promoting service development, exploiting destination values, improving the tourism environment to be ready to provide high-quality services to tourists.

The event was just opened at 7:00 p.m. on June 26. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Tourism - Ha Van Sieu said that the program "Promoting cultural and tourist destinations in Hanoi in 2020" with many attractive and unique tourism products, created a unique color for the capital's tourism.

"This is the "golden" time for people to travel domestically. Hanoi is the political, cultural and tourism center of the whole country, and is also the center connecting tourism between localities, so stimulating tourism in Hanoi at this time will contribute significantly to stimulating tourism in Vietnam, quickly recovering tourism in the whole country" - Mr. Ha Van Sieu assessed.

The space for promoting tourism products to stimulate demand includes 50 booths of more than 70 travel agencies and destinations in Hanoi, along with tourism representatives of three neighboring provinces: Quang Binh, Lang Son, and Ha Giang. It is expected that more than 1,000 stimulus tours will be opened for sale with strong promotional prices of 20-50% for hundreds of thousands of tourists. In addition to discounts on familiar tours, some booths will also introduce new products and tour programs to tourists, satisfying the desire to explore of many groups of customers, bringing new experiences to the land of thousands of years of civilization.

The program also has the participation of representatives of two airlines, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air. The two airlines will launch tens of thousands of cheap air tickets for tourists to the event and participate in lucky games to win prizes on the spot.

In addition, this Promotion event also received support from the UNESCO Travel Club. The Club participated in building 21 booths with 25 participating businesses. The Club's President - Mr. Truong Quoc Hung participated in cutting the ribbon and delivered a speech pledging to accompany the capital's tourism industry to stimulate tourism and develop products for visitors to Hanoi.

There will be 30 booths in the non-alcoholic beverage space. Here, typical Hanoi beverage products such as coffee, sour plum juice, tofu pudding, longan and lotus seed tea, mixed drinks, etc. will be displayed and introduced, in line with the current youth trends.
Not only that, throughout the 3 days of the event "Promoting Hanoi Cultural - Tourism Destination 2020", visitors can also enjoy many art performances, play games to win prizes, and receive lucky gifts at the booths.

Visitors can also participate in other interesting activities such as: Street Culture Festival "Hanoi Green Destination" opening at 7:30 p.m. on June 27; promoting the arts and heritage of Thang Long - Hanoi; exhibition "Hanoi's Days Fighting Covid - Strong Faith in Overcoming Challenges" taking place from 9 a.m. on June 26-28 at Ly Thai To Flower Garden; art program "Hanoi Unforgettable Days" taking place from 7:30 p.m. on June 28 at Ly Thai To Flower Garden.

The event organizers hope that the event "Promoting Hanoi Cultural - Tourism Destination in 2020" will further affirm that the Capital of Vietnam is a safe, friendly, and quality destination after the Covid-19 pandemic, attracting more domestic tourists, restoring the domestic tourism industry, and preparing to welcome foreign tourists to Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general when permitted.
