The Ong Hoang Bay Temple, also known as Bao Ha Temple, is a historical and cultural relic built on Cam Mountain, on the upper reaches of the Red River, in Bao Ha commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province. The Thượng Temple is dedicated to the national hero Trần Quốc Tuấn, who led the army to victory against the Yuan-Mongol invaders in the 15th century and has long been revered by the country as Saint Trần. Every year on the 15th day of the first lunar month, the spring festival at Thượng Temple is solemnly organized by Lào Cai province. In addition to the ceremonial part, there is also a festival with many attractive cultural and sporting activities, reflecting the unique character of the mountainous border region of Northwest Vietnam.
