In recent years, the rapid development of technology has opened up a new entertainment trend: events and concerts that utilize virtual reality technology. These events allow people to interact with and enjoy art without any obstacles. Examples include Lil Nas X's virtual reality concert, which attracted 3 million viewers, and BTS's online concert, which garnered 2.7 million views.
In 2022, the Virtual Countdown Lights Festival was an upgraded version of extended reality (XR) technology. This year, the show will take audiences on a journey to explore a new and vibrant virtual universe with three different stages in a single night of music.
Virtual reality technology reigns supreme at year-end music festivals. On the stage of the Virtual Countdown Lights 2022 Light Festival, a virtual landscape was created by combining two iconic Vietnamese locations: Nguyen Hue Walking Street and the World Natural Heritage site of Ha Long Bay.

The pedestrian street stage is designed with brightly lit skyscrapers, creating a vast urban space with eye-catching lighting effects. Meanwhile, the Ha Long Bay setting is a highly artistic stage with a goddess concept and a water setting, a first in Vietnam.
Virtual Countdown Lights 2022 will be a place where audiences can immerse themselves in nature while also being captivated by an explosive music festival atmosphere.

Blurring the lines between reality and illusion.
Creating a virtual reality event that blurs the lines between reality and illusion, offering an unlimited musical experience, is always a challenging task. With a triangular stage, this becomes even more difficult as it must seamlessly connect the studio stage with the virtual LED panels of the metaverse space. Furthermore, the cityscapes, environments, and complex effects must also be realistic and vibrant.
Tung Monkey, Creative Director, shared: “Fortunately, we solved that problem by synchronizing the images projected onto these two screens in real time during studio recording, truly transcending the boundaries of reality and virtuality. Now, the triangular stage has become a single entity within the metaverse space.”
