In recent years, the rapid development of technology has opened up a new entertainment trend: events and concerts using virtual reality technology. These events help people interact and enjoy art without any obstacles. Typical examples include Lil Nas X's virtual reality concert that attracted 3 million viewers, or BTS's online concert with 2.7 million views.
In 2022, the Virtual Countdown Lights Festival is an “upgraded” version of extended reality (XR) technology. This year, the program will take the audience to explore a new and vibrant virtual universe with 3 different stages in the same music night.
Virtual reality technology reigns supreme at year-end music festivals. On the stage of the Virtual Countdown Lights 2022 Festival, the virtual landscape was created by combining two iconic locations in Vietnam: Nguyen Hue Walking Street and the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay.

The Walking Street stage is designed with brightly lit skyscrapers, creating a vast urban space with eye-catching lighting effects. The Ha Long Bay scene is a stage with a strong artistic character with a goddess concept and water space appearing for the first time in Vietnam.
Virtual Countdown Lights 2022 will be a place where audiences can both immerse themselves in nature and immerse themselves in the explosive atmosphere of a grand music festival.

Blurring the line between real and virtual
Creating a virtual reality event that blurs the line between real and virtual, bringing an unlimited music space is always a difficult problem. With the triangular stage, it becomes even more challenging to connect the stage in the studio with the virtual LED panels of the metaverse space in the smoothest way. In addition, the city scene, environment or complex effects must also ensure the element of realism and vividness.
Mr. Tung Monkey, Creative Director shared: “Fortunately, we solved that problem, by synchronizing the images projected onto these two screen channels in real time right at the time of recording in the studio, which has truly crossed the line between reality and virtuality. Now the triangular stage becomes a single block in the metaverse space.”
