Don Det Island, part of the Si Phan Don archipelago, is located approximately 900 km from Vientiane, nearly 180 km from Pakse, the capital of Champasak province, and borders Stung Treng province of Cambodia. Si Phan Don means "4,000 islands" in Lao. It is also one of the most impressive places to watch the sunset.
