The ceremony was held in a solemn American style with the participation of representatives from educational institutions, media outlets, distinguished guests from both domestic and international backgrounds, all faculty members, parent representatives, and graduating students of the 2023 cohort. Overwhelmed with emotion, Dr. Tran Nguyen Thy Binh, Chairman of the Education Council of the American Education Development Group (APU), extended his best wishes to the graduates, hoping they will continue to strive and achieve brilliant success in the future.
Graduation Ceremony for the 2023 academic year – APU American International School System.
At the 2022-2023 Graduation Ceremony, the American International School (APU) had 112 high school graduates, with 90% achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and notably, 22 students achieving a perfect GPA of 4.0, including 2 Valedictorians and 10 Salutatorians. All graduates demonstrated commendable conduct, excellent academic performance, and outstanding extracurricular contributions.
Their exceptional academic achievements have earned APU students of the 2023 cohort numerous valuable scholarships from prestigious US universities, totaling over $25 million. Some students have even received full scholarships worth over $100,000, and this list continues to grow with scholarships from many other prestigious universities worldwide.
This year, APU has 31 11th-grade students who achieved very high GPAs and graduated early. This demonstrates that the US-standard education system at APU not only helps students shorten their high school program by 1 to 2 years, but also ensures they acquire knowledge solidly, confidently, and with strong character. Therefore, APU students consistently have their names on the Dean's Honor Roll, receiving recognition for outstanding academic achievements from their early years. Furthermore, they are often selected to be teaching assistants for prestigious professors at universities even as early as their first or second year.
Through its annual Scholarship Program, 100% of APU graduates receive valuable scholarships.

In line with its goal of helping graduating students secure the best possible pathways to higher education, The American University in Vietnam (AUV) announces scholarships for 100% of its graduating students, with flexible amounts depending on academic achievement. These scholarships provide students with the best financial support to complete their undergraduate degree at AUV and then continue directly to other prestigious universities in the United States to pursue Master's or Doctoral degrees; or they can choose to complete the first 1-2 years at AUV and then transfer to other prestigious universities in the United States to complete their undergraduate degree and pursue higher education.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ms. Vu Huyen Trinh and Mr. Mai Tan Linh – Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Department of Education and Training – also came to celebrate and congratulate the American International School System (APU) on a brilliantly successful academic year.
90% of APU alumni go on to study at prestigious universities around the world.
Each year, 90% of APU alumni who study at prestigious universities around the world, most notably in the United States, achieve excellent results from their first semester and are ranked on the Dean's List. This demonstrates that they have received the highest level of academic foundation and superior training while studying the high school program at APU. These academic achievements are a great source of pride and honor for the school and for the parents who have trusted, loved, and entrusted their children's future to APU for over 20 years.
In addition to the Credit Accumulation Program, which helps students shorten the time to complete their university degree in the United States and significantly reduce other costs, the American International School (APU) also encourages students to enroll in the College Bridge Program. This program includes the Dual Enrollment Program and the Global Freshman Academy, unique to APU. This special program is established by the APU International Education Development Group and prestigious partner universities in the United States. After graduating from high school, students only need about two years to complete their bachelor's degree at reputable US universities. This is a special advantage exclusive to APU students, as students from high schools outside of APU who wish to participate in this program must achieve an SAT score above 90% to be accepted.
The American International School (APU) system is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training to teach the American curriculum to Vietnamese and international students in Vietnam. The APU program is a comprehensive system, closely linking the knowledge and skills necessary for students from kindergarten to grade 12, enabling them to succeed in any university environment worldwide, most notably in the United States, upon graduation. Upon completing high school, APU graduates are directly admitted to prestigious universities in the United States with valuable scholarships, without needing to provide high SAT, ACT, TOEFL, or IELTS scores.
The American International School System (APU) has achieved accreditation and membership certification from Cognia™, the world's largest educational accreditation organization, after rigorous and comprehensive evaluation processes covering its curriculum, teaching quality, faculty, learning support and skill development policies, extracurricular activities, graduate outcomes, partnerships with leading universities worldwide, and facilities.
