The organizers of ITB Asia 2020 Virtual have revealed the theme for this year's virtual event.Tourism innovation in the context of the "new normal"The three-day agenda will feature 120 themed sessions specifically designed to help tourism industry professionals overcome current challenges and prepare for the industry's recovery.

In an online event taking place next month, tourism industry experts from around the world will connect to share ideas and plans that will shape the next decade of tourism in the post-Covid-19 era. The event will be held on ITB Community, which has over 1,500 members and more than 400 registered users so far, since its launch two weeks ago.
Katrina Leung, Managing Director of Messe Berlin (Singapore), organizer of ITB Asia, said: “This year’s theme will provide a platform for the tourism industry as it moves toward recovery. We truly believe that ITB Asia will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of tourism in the context of the ‘new normal’. Allowing participants to connect online enables seamless knowledge sharing at this crucial moment in tourism history. To date, over 100 exhibitors have confirmed their participation in ITB Asia 2020 Virtual.”


Key discussion sessions this year will highlight emerging trends that the tourism industry needs to consider as it continues to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic. Speakers will also address industry best practices, business innovations, methodologies, and insights on how industry leaders can apply their mindset in the face of challenges.
Throughout the three days of the event, sessions will address six core themes: tourism business; MICE Show Asia; Travel Tech Asia; destination marketing; hotel revenue and distribution; tours, attractions and tourism activities.
