Also in July, at the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2017 ceremony organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism on July 8th, JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi was honored with the number 1 position in the Top 10 most luxurious and upscale 5-star hotels in Vietnam. The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2017 is known as a great honor bestowed by the tourism industry upon businesses and individuals who have made positive and sustained contributions to the development, improvement of service quality, and prestige of tourism in Vietnam. The ceremony was held in the context of the 57th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Day (July 9th, 2017) at the Hanoi Opera House, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and many other distinguished guests.

Furthermore, in May, the JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel continued to receive the "Luxury Hotel of the Year" award at the Grand Luxury Hotel of the Year 2016-2017 ceremony, presented by The Luxury Travel Guide Awards. The Luxury Travel Guide Awards symbolize the pinnacle of excellence in the hotel industry and are organized to honor achievements in their respective fields.

Beginning a year of resounding success, in March, the JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel was awarded the prestigious "Vietnam Top Trade Award 2016-2017" by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Government Office. With the significant achievements mentioned above over the past seven months, along with more than 40 prestigious awards both domestically and internationally, the JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel continues to affirm its position after nearly four years of operation and will continue to move forward confidently.
