Opened on June 19, J Hotel is not just a normal luxury hotel. Located on top of Shanghai Tower - the tallest building in China, J Hotel takes the title of the world's tallest hotel from Gevora Hotel (356m high, in Dubai, UAE) with a height of 632 m.

The hotel has four types of suites, the most expensive being the 380 m2 Shanghai Suite.2. In addition to the bedroom, the apartment also has a living room, office, kitchen, physical therapy area and private dressing room. The price of the room is kept secret from the media to ensure competitiveness.

The hotel has only revealed the price of the J Suite apartment (second only to the Shanghai Suite in terms of luxury) at 67,628 yuan (equivalent to 241 million VND) per night. The "cheapest" room in this hotel starts at 3,601 yuan (equivalent to 12.8 million VND) per night.
Guests at the J Hotel will have 7 restaurants to choose from, including the Cantonese restaurant Heavenly Jin located on the top of the tower (120th floor). There are also Japanese or Italian restaurants depending on the taste of the guests.

J Hotel belongs to JIn Jang International Group - one of the largest state-owned hotel and tourism groups in China.
While the world tourism industry is entering a downturn due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the luxury hotel race shows no signs of cooling down.
The tallest hotels in the world are in Dubai, with skyscrapers built primarily to accommodate tourists. While the J Hotel is just atop the Shanghai Tower, the entire 356 m of the Gevora Hotel is occupied by hotel rooms.

However, Gevora Hotel will soon have to give up the runner-up position to the Ceil tower (French for “Sky”) with a height of 360 m and 1,042 rooms after this skyscraper is completed.
Ceil Tower will open for visitors to enjoy the view from above.
The Ciel Tower will have a glass-covered rooftop that will allow outside visitors to come and experience the "cloud nine" view.
