Puri Garden Hotel & Hostel in Ubud is partnering with the local dog rescue organization, the Bali Dog Association, to bring puppies to play with guests twice a week. This organization helps rescue stray dogs and find them more comfortable environments, so not only guests at Puri Garden Hotel & Hostel benefit from this therapy, but the puppies themselves also greatly appreciate the time spent with humans.

To prepare for therapy sessions, the hotel has set up an enclosed area next to the pool to prevent the dogs from wandering out (and also to prevent theft). Guests can freely play with and cuddle the dogs in this enclosed area, which is equipped with dog toys.

Dog therapy sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, lasting two hours, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. For some, these dogs are the reason they book a room at Puri Garden Hotel & Hostel. Room rates range from around $21 for a bed in a dormitory-style shared room to $69 for a private double room with one large bed or two single beds.
Many people choose Puri Garden Hotel & Hostel because they want to experience therapy sessions with their pets.
