Hanoi Daewoo Hotel appoints senior staff

David Vanhove, Director of Culinary

Born and raised in France, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. David Vanhove will manage all restaurant and food and beverage operations of Hanoi Daewoo Hotel.

David has held the position of Director of Food and Beverage in 6 different countries for major hotel groups such as Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons Hotel and Shangri-La Group. He also held the position of Deputy General Manager of Movenpick Hotel Hanoi before becoming Area Director of Daloc Wines and Spirits. He graduated from the University of Chef Training with a major in Hotel, Restaurant and Culinary Management.

Paul Alan Wood, Executive Chef

Mr. Paul has been in charge of the Kitchen department of many restaurants, hotels and resorts with over 30 years of experience in menu development, and has successfully created many new dishes with flavors from different regions of the world.

Having held the position of head chef at prestigious hotel groups such as IHG and Shangri-la, Mr. Paul always harmoniously combines professional knowledge with leadership ability, thereby creating a unique personality in cuisine. Mr. Paul Alan Wood and his team of experienced kitchen staff promise to bring a new look and cuisine to the hotel.

Commenting on the appointment of Mr. Paul Alan Wood, General Manager of Hanoi Daewoo Hotel – Mr. Erwin R.Popov said: “An experienced chef like Mr. Paul is exactly what Hanoi Daewoo Hotel is looking for. As General Chef, Mr. Paul Alan Wood will be the person to operate and manage the kitchen department of Hanoi Daewoo Hotel in the coming time.”

Rina Baba, Sales Manager in charge of Japan Market

Born in Japan, Ms. Rina has nearly 10 years of business experience in the hotel and service industry. Ms. Rina specializes in corporate clients, conferences, seminars (MICE) as well as clients in the Asian market.

Ms. Rina started her hospitality career with Starwood Hotels Group as the Vice President of Sales at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, Doha, Qatar. Prior to joining Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, she worked at St. Regis Doha Hotel.

In her position as Sales Manager for the Japanese market, Ms. Rina will manage business activities to expand the Japanese customer market share, as well as build and strengthen relationships with the hotel's Japanese partners.
