Hanoi Daewoo Hotel appoints senior management team.

Recently, Hanoi Daewoo Hotel officially announced three new members to its management team: Mr. David Vanhove – the new Director of Food and Beverage, Mr. Paul Alan Wood – the new Executive Chef, and Ms. Rina Baba – the new Head of Sales for the Japanese Market.

David Vanhove, Director of Food & Beverage

Born and raised in France, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, David Vanhove will manage all restaurant and food services operations at the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel.

Mr. David has held the position of Food and Beverage Director in six different countries at major hotel groups such as the Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Shangri-La. He also previously served as Deputy General Manager of Movenpick Hanoi before becoming Regional Director of Daloc Wines and Spirits. He graduated from a culinary school with a major in Hotel, Restaurant, and Culinary Management.

Paul Alan Wood, Executive Chef

Paul has managed the kitchens of numerous restaurants, hotels, and resorts for over 30 years, with experience in menu development and the successful creation of many new dishes featuring flavors from different regions of the world.

Having previously served as head chef at prestigious hotel chains such as IHG and Shangri-la, Paul Alan Wood harmoniously combines professional expertise with leadership skills, creating a unique culinary style. Paul Alan Wood, along with his experienced culinary team, promises to bring a fresh look and culinary experience to the hotel.

Commenting on the appointment of Mr. Paul Alan Wood, General Manager of Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, Mr. Erwin R. Popov said: “An experienced chef like Mr. Paul is exactly what Hanoi Daewoo Hotel has been looking for. As Head Chef, Mr. Paul Alan Wood will be responsible for operating and managing the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel's kitchen department in the coming period.”

 

Rina Baba, Head of Sales for the Japanese Market

Born in Japan, Ms. Rina has nearly 10 years of business experience in the hospitality and service industry. She specializes in corporate clients, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) groups, as well as clients in the Asian market.

 

Ms. Rina began her hotel career with Starwood Hotels Group as Deputy Sales Manager at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention, Doha, Qatar. Prior to joining Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, she worked at the St. Regis Doha Hotel.

In her role as Head of Sales for the Japanese market, Rina will manage business operations aimed at expanding the market share of Japanese customers, as well as building and strengthening relationships with the hotel's Japanese partners.
