Hotel made of salt in Bolivia

To spend a night in a room at the Salt Palace hotel, where the ceiling, walls, and some of the furniture are made of salt, guests must pay from $142.

If you're a salt lover, you'd best steer clear of the Palacio de Sal (Salt Palace) in Bolivia to avoid damaging it, as everything there is made of salt. The ceilings, floors, walls, and even some of the furniture are constructed from crystallized salt.

This unique hotel is located on the eastern shore of the Great Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat. The building materials were sourced from the precious and abundant natural resources of this ocean. It is estimated that the hotel was constructed from one million cubic meters of salt and took two years to complete.

Palacio de Sal was built in the mid-1990s and has now been renovated to include a luxurious spa with a sauna, a billiards room, and a dining room. Each bedroom is also fully equipped with modern amenities and has its own private sunroom.

To stay overnight at this hotel, you have to spend at least $124 per night.
