Hotel made of salt in Bolivia

To stay each night in a Salt Palace hotel room with ceilings, walls and some furniture made from salt, visitors must pay from 142 USD.

If you have a sweet tooth, you might want to avoid the Palacio de Sal (Salt Palace) in Bolivia, as it is made entirely of salt. The ceiling, floors, walls, and even some of the furniture are made from crystallized salt.

This unique hotel is located on the east coast of the Great Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat. The building materials were sourced from this precious and abundant natural resource of the sea. It is estimated that the hotel was built from one million blocks of salt and took two years to complete.

Palacio de Sal was built in the mid-1990s and has been completely renovated to include a luxury spa with a sauna, billiards room and dining room. Each bedroom is also fully equipped with modern amenities and has its own solarium.

To stay overnight at this hotel, you must spend at least 124 USD/night.
