18/04/2018

From the vast and expansive lands of the Mongolian steppes, a powerful nomadic tribe has persistently developed a unique culinary tradition unlike any other in the world. Windsor Plaza Hotel will offer guests the opportunity to explore the cuisine of this land of endless blue skies at the Mongolian Food Festival, held at the hotel's Café Central An Đông restaurant from April 20th to 29th, 2018.

During the festival, two guest chefs from the capital Ulaanbaatar will prepare and present traditional Mongolian delicacies at the restaurant's lunch and dinner buffets. Mr. Dagvadorj Lkhagva is currently the Head Chef, while Mr. Usbold Tumurbaatar is the Head Chef at the Blue Sky Hotel & Tower. Both possess extensive knowledge and understanding of their homeland's culinary traditions, combined with considerable cooking experience and training gained from their time working in Europe.

Some traditional Mongolian dishes served at the festival include smoked beef tongue, BBQ lamb skewers, dumpling soup with spinach, or baked meatballs with eggs and bone marrow. Desserts are also special, featuring chilled honey yogurt, oat truffle with chocolate, and custard.
