Up to now, photographer Ly Hoang Long has been “focusing, holding his breath and… clicking” for nearly 30 years of his life.
For him, photography is a language that allows him to describe the reality of life, and that has always been the subject throughout his works. In a 2014 interview, the photographer shared: “Through the camera's viewfinder, life is always more beautiful. When you frame, hold your breath and press the shutter, the photo itself will tell its own story.”
NAG Ly Hoang Long lives and works in Da Lat city.
With photo setFraming lifedone at the end of 2021, besides the machine being an inseparable object, this time he brought an old photo frame, wandered around Da Lat, set up the frame, prepared the machine and... waited. "It feels much more interesting when I'mframe in framelife" - Ly Hoang Long shared on his personal page.

"Framing a painting or photo has the effect of embellishing and enhancing the aesthetic value of that work, so the function of the frame always has a positive meaning. Photography is the same; everything is always more beautiful and poetic through the tiny viewfinder of the camera. Seeing a problem - focusing - holding your breath - and shooting, that is always the most attractive moment!"
"Ignoring the inherent habit of taking precise, meticulous photos with careful post-production, I chose a wide angle and didn't care about the basic rules of composition, just framed and clicked."

“The characters in the photos, from Ngoc Binh (bubble) in the square to Ms. Do (tofu) at Cam Ly waterfall…, after a moment of awkwardness, were all very open and friendly, sharing with me stories of life and people… Why are they so strangely close? For me, that is enough!”

Sharing with Travellive, photographer Ly Hoang Long said that his favorite topics are festivals or activities/events with strong traditional, cultural, and religious features... As for the photo series,Framing life, you just need a busy space (road, street corner...) with lots of activities and people passing by, then choose a location to place the frame, and wait.
"Images give viewers a glimpse into what the author thinks, sees and feels from a personal perspective. With this series, I want to present multi-dimensional perspectives and let people frame what they see themselves."
