A week before the full announcement of the 2024 MICHELIN Guide in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, Michelin is pleased to present this year's list of Bib Gourmand restaurants in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Bib Gourmand category list in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City includes a total of 42 dining establishments.
In the second edition of the MICHELIN Guide in Vietnam, the Bib Gourmand category lists for Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City include a total of 42 dining establishments – comprising 18 in Hanoi (including 5 new establishments) and 24 in Ho Chi Minh City (including 8 new establishments). This represents significant growth from the 29 establishments in the first edition last year. The Bib Gourmand award winners in Da Nang – Vietnam's newest destination to be added to the MICHELIN Guide list – will be revealed on June 27th at the MICHELIN Guide Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang Announcement Ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City.
This list includes 18 establishments in Hanoi (including 5 new ones).

In the MICHELIN Guide's selection list, the Bib Gourmand award – symbolizing the iconic figure "Bibendum," also known as the Michelin Man – recognizes dining establishments offering exceptional food quality at a commensurate price. Therefore, the list of Bib Gourmand establishments is followed by MICHELIN Guide users in their search for delicious and affordable meals that still guarantee quality and flavor.
In total, the list of Bib Gourmand restaurants in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for 2024 includes seven culinary categories: Vietnamese cuisine, noodle dishes, contemporary European cuisine, street food, vegetarian dishes, Cantonese cuisine, and Latin American cuisine. This is a testament to the vibrant culinary scene of both cities, offering a wide variety of delicious and affordable food.
In Hanoi, the 5 new dining establishments in the Bib Gourmand category are:
▪ Bun Cha Chan, a small bun cha restaurant that has been operating for over 10 years, not only serves the signature grilled pork patties with sweet and sour broth, but also offers other options such as grilled pork belly or minced beef wrapped in betel leaves.

▪ Luk Lak is a restaurant specializing in traditional Vietnamese dishes with a unique touch - such as Sapa pork belly dipped in herbal sauce and grilled to perfection, served with mac mat leaves to reduce greasiness and highlight the overall flavor.

▪ Dong Thinh Eel Noodles, a restaurant over 40 years old, specializes in eel dishes - such as eel noodles, eel porridge, and eel soup.
▪ Mr. Bay Mien Tay is a small eatery famous for its signature crispy banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancake) with various fillings, and also specializes in hot pot, spring rolls, vermicelli, and grilled dishes.

▪ Pho Khoi Hoi, a street food stall serving beef pho with a wide selection of meats, including rare cuts like beef shank.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the 8 new dining establishments in the Bib Gourmand category are:
▪ Banh Xeo 46A, a restaurant famous for its signature "giant" Vietnamese pancake, with fillings of mung beans, bean sprouts, pork, and shrimp, served with shredded chicken salad or grilled pork, beef, squid, and shrimp.
▪ Bo Kho Ganh, a famous street food stall serving beef stew in a stone pot, which can be eaten with bread, noodles, or rice.

▪ Bun Bo Hue 14B, a shop specializing in takeout, offers a noodle soup dish made with sliced beef, beef tendons, and fish cake.
▪ Mặn Mòi (Thu Duc City), a Vietnamese restaurant with a diverse menu featuring specialties from all regions of the country - including salads, soups, main courses, grilled dishes, desserts, as well as hot pot and stew dishes.
▪ Nha Tu, a Vietnamese restaurant serving home-style dishes rarely found elsewhere - such as steamed snails stuffed with minced meat and boiled mixed vegetables served with braised pork belly.
▪ Chuyen Ky Clay Pot Rice Restaurant, a Cantonese eatery, boasts its signature braised black chicken with Chinese herbs, prepared according to a recipe dating back to 1948. Other must-try dishes include beef clay pot rice, chicken clay pot rice, and Cantonese sausage clay pot rice.

In addition, its à la carte menu is appealing with dishes like Mexican empanadas, Peruvian ceviche, and Italian burrata salad.

The full list of selected dining establishments for 2024 by the MICHELIN Guide Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang – including MICHELIN Stars and MICHELIN Guide Special Awards – will be revealed on June 27th at a special announcement ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City.
