This person said "the ship did not check the guests, not a single missed call, waited 30 minutes at the dock but did not see the ship, called the phone number on the bracelet but the subscriber was unavailable...".
According to the post, this tourist and many others were left by the cruise ship without their knowledge, leaving them to find their own way back to shore. The post quickly attracted attention and spread on social media, causing public outrage. In response to the above information, the authorities of Quang Ninh province have stepped in to verify and clarify.
According to initial information, the incident of tourists being left behind on Ti Top Island occurred on June 16, 2024 on the QN 926x ship. The QN 926x ship carried 99 combined passengers (not group passengers) to visit Ti Top Island. When picking up the passengers back to the ship, due to the large number of passengers, some tourists were left behind on the island. After receiving the information, the travel company arranged another ship to pick up the tourists who were left behind to return later.
However, information about the tourists being left behind on Ti Top Island was not initially fully reported to the relevant authorities. The tourists contacted the travel agency for assistance but did not receive a satisfactory response. The two tourists then contacted the company's phone number and were sent to the Binh An ship number QN 8448 to be taken back to shore. Upon arriving on the mainland, a representative of the company picked up the two tourists at the pier to apologize.
The incident of tourists being left behind has caused a lot of pain in the community.
The lack of feedback from tourists and travel companies makes it difficult for the Ha Long Bay Management Board to grasp the situation and take timely measures.
After verifying, the bay management board reminded the boat owner to avoid a recurrence of this situation. The tourists in the group said they "sympathized with the boat", then removed all posts on social media.
