A UNESCO biosphere reserve, Cu Lao Cham comprises eight islands: Hon Lao, Hon Dai, Hon Mo, Hon Kho Me, Hon Kho Con, Hon La, Hon Tai, and Hon Ong. The largest island is the only inhabited island and is made up of tropical beaches, wild jungle, and authentic fishing villages. Diving sites around the islands range from coral gardens and reefs to wild rock formations and underwater peaks.
This is a tourist destination with a cool climate all year round, rich flora and fauna, especially seafood and bird's nest resources. The coral reefs in the Cham Island sea area are also highly appreciated by scientists and included in the protection list.
