Mid-Autumn Festival, or the Moon Festival, is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month in Vietnam and other East Asian and Southeast Asian countries such as China, Korea, Mongolia, and Singapore. According to Vietnamese custom, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for families to gather together, and children enjoy themselves with many special activities such as lantern parades, lion dances, and feasting. The traditional food is mooncakes.

Nuit Blanche is a unique autumn festival for art and culture lovers. For one night, Paris opens its museums and galleries until the early morning. Special events are held throughout the city, and visitors have the opportunity to explore some of Paris's most famous landmarks in the evening (free of charge). Public transport also operates throughout "White Nights." This festival usually takes place in early October.
