Photographer Lekima Hung (Nguyen Viet Hung) shared his idea for organizing the exhibition: “I have visited many islands, and on uninhabited beaches, I easily found household plastic waste with packaging in many different languages. That made me think a lot. Do we deserve this planet? What are we leaving for future generations? An ocean full of fish or an ocean full of plastic? This is the right time for us to realize that our ocean has become, and is becoming, a shared garbage dump.”
"My camera captured areas completely covered in trash. People and rivers struggling amidst the garbage. When these photos were shared, many places were cleaned up, and friends sent me photos of those same places, only without the trash. I realized one thing: Only through action can we make a difference."

5th Hanoi Ikebana Flower Exhibition
The Ikebana Flower Exhibition is a regular event at Ikebana House, showcasing works and fundamental knowledge about the Japanese Ikebana flower arrangement style. It also serves as a space for flower arrangement classes and hands-on activities related to this art form.
This year, the 5th Hanoi Ikebana Flower Exhibition continues to be organized by teacher Nguyen Thanh Tu, Japanese instructors, and students in collaboration with the Japan Foundation in Vietnam.

"Ikebana is a flower arrangement art that represents Japanese culture, alongside other arts such as tea ceremony, calligraphy, and incense burning... and it has a long history. Like other art forms, Ikebana has its own philosophy. The fundamental philosophy is respect for the individual life, characteristics, and natural beauty of plants and flowers" - excerpt from the bookBasic Ikebanaby Ms. Nguyen Thanh Tu.
