Jupe is a luxurious sci-fi-inspired concept, created by a multidisciplinary team of experts from housing, architecture and engineering, including former members of SpaceX, Tesla and AirBnB. The design, which is available for $17,500, is for modern travelers who want to escape the stuffy urban life and immerse themselves in nature. It is a mobile outdoor shelter that can be easily disassembled and installed on any terrain on the planet, allowing you to enjoy the scenery of the area.

More than 10m2The tent is supported by durable aluminum masts that are connected together to create a unique geometric shape. This unique shape resembles a cut diamond or an interstellar shuttle. The fluorescent Firesist fabric on the outside is also designed to be suitable for a variety of climates.

The design's mission is not to provide a quick place to stay, but to create a bridge, a gateway to the outside world. In just an hour or so, you'll find a comfortable space with high ceilings, Baltic birch floors, a queen-sized bed, and over 1m of storage space.3in floor-mounted containers (enough to fit 10 large suitcases if you want to “elope”).

Each tent is equipped with solar panels and a 200 Ah battery system, comes with wifi and dimmable LED lights. Additional amenities include a sound system and Alexa integration, a safe, a cooler, and even a front porch. Additionally, each Jupe is provided with custom-designed items such as tables, chairs, benches, and a medium-sized monolith to match the space theme.

In addition to the spacious, comfortable interior, side windows create a sense of openness, ventilation throughout and maximum natural light. All the furniture was designed in collaboration with renowned boutique hotelier Liz Lambert and sustainable architecture expert, TED Prize winner and former head of social innovation at AirBnB Cameron Sinclair.

“Experience the natural wonders of the world doesn’t mean we have to disconnect from the less inspiring spaces of the present. In a time when most of us crave at least one escape, Jupe is the perfect way to provide an experience that’s perfect for socially distanced travel,” said Jeff Wilson, Co-founder and CEO of Jupe.
The former Project Director of the technology giant IBM is also a creative designer and expert in modular housing. He also lived in a house that was only 3m.2in a year and is known for creating Kasita, the award-winning micro-house.

Based on the mobility and core of the Jupe's design, the chassis platform is created in a way that does not require the construction of floors or foundations, allowing this shelter to adapt to any terrain, level and minimize surface impact.

Jupe inspired by the year2001: Space OdysseyStanley Kubrick's Jupiter Ascending, also known as Jupiter, is an escape from the city that will take you anywhere, whether it's in the middle of a vast desert, a windswept seaside cliff, or right in your backyard.
